Speaking as an outsider, what's with all the horse puns in your city names?

Ah, that's a tale and a half. Short version: I lost my eye early in the San Fran outbreak, when a Slayer hacked the side of my head open (idiot thought I was infected - that happened later). I built myself a shiny new mechanical eye, with the glowing being due to my design of it.

Oh nothing Eldritch or whatever, if that's what ye asking. They look like normal blokes, honestly. Thought they were more fucking vampire hunters at first. But then they told me they were from heaven and they were tryna get Jesse's power back...by chopping him up. Wrestled their chainsaw from 'em and took 'em out with it. But then they bloody came back again.

OOCthe timeline for Cass finding out he's killing angels works slightly different but for ease I'm gunna pretend he always knows

The virus helped me cope, early on - turns out the change neuters your desire for company, for the most part. Nowadays, I try and cope by finding others like me. Not the shambling idiots, but the other Alpha Zombies - those who survived the turn with their minds intact. We don't talk much (hard to, when you're in different countries), but when we do, it certainly helps.
