The discussion thread contains the actual rules, and plus we would like you to introduce yourself first. Given that this RP is a WAOA spinoff and handled similarly to how we handle it, this thread is less an actual signup, and more a documentation of the charecter sheets for our thread so we have an a place to easily access them.

Really the actual signup process is mostly just to say hi, unless you do something really bad we wont reject you outright, even if we do ask you to tone down the charecter a bit or something. smile

    Charecter Sheet Guidelines 
For the actual charecter sheets we have a few power level guidelines:

  • A charecter should not be any stronger then a W H40k space marine in terms of raw power, this is a tentative restriction and will likley eventualy be expanded outward as the RP scales up, but given that part of the reboot is to reset the scaling lets start small.
  • No charetcer who can create objects out of thin air, some times the G Ms want to impose a resource restriction, or for various other reasons ex: needing a key for a door, these types of powers can wholy break those plots.
  • No instant healing, while most of the time we like charecters to get healed after injuries there are cases where for story or dramatic tension we want those injuries to stick, instant healing just imposes massive fridge logic on those situations.

While most categories are optional, class is mandatory, this is simply the theme of your charecter and what they will be treated as, how they will be regarded in the naritive. It can be whatever you want, so long as it is the charecters theme, we have implemented this due to too many charecters that were able to do too much of every thing. Teamwork is encouraged, and if you don't have to work with a team the game becomes less fun for every one involved.

    Vehicle Sheet Guidelines 
Since vehicles are tentatively okay, they also have there own sheet since they are diffrent entities others can posibly use, please try not to go overboard with military hardware at the moment, the example sheet would probaly be denied currently and exists only so we dont have to make a new one that would not be used.

  • Name of Vehicle: If you can't understand this, you probably shouldn't be submitting one.
  • Type of Vehicle: The class of vehicle if you are submitted. Is it a fighter? A bomber? A tank? Cargo Transport? Gunboat? What?
  • Appearance: An image would be nice.
  • Size: Can be relative or specific.
  • Level of Armour: How tanky the thing is.
  • Speed: Does your vehicle have to go fast, or does slow and steady win the race?
  • Handling: How much of a bitch is it to fly/drive this thing? Does it make the corners or crash into the wall.
  • Terrain Navigation Capabilities: Where can this thing work, and where doesn't it work?
  • Weapons and Equipment: This is where your shootbangs and fancy doohickeys go.
  • Modularity: If anything can be exchanged for anything else onboard, mark it down here.
  • Quick Role Description: What does this thing do for us? Why pay for its maintenance and fuel?

Example form, the old WAOAA Gunship.

  • Appearance: Something like this
  • Size: 40 meters
  • Level of Armour: High
  • Speed: Medium-Low
  • Handling: Poor
  • Terrain Navigation Capibilities: Atmospheric and 0g
  • Weapons and Equipment: 6 dorsal railguns, 6 belly railguns, 2 cannons, 2 KKV launch bays, 20 tone cargo bay, crew transport space, and a short range warp drive.
  • Modularity: Weapons can be swaped, crew transpot space can be used for cargo, warpdrive removable for extra sheilding or 4 drone bays.
  • Quick Role Description: Landing people behind enemy lines, picking them up, light cargo transport, and fire support.

Some notes.

  • The rules for vehicle approval is different from character approval, and that rule is. "they must compliment the infantry fighting force not replace it, or be independent of it"
  • This means super prototypes will almost always be no-goed since they can do pretty much every thing
  • Like wise an interceptor would be nogoed because its highly specialized role of killing bombers would never really be used.
  • Modularity can be vague if needed, although I would prefer if you can be descriptive like in the example.
  • Speed, Handling, and Armour are relative to vehicle type, a slow jet is still probably going to be faster then a tank with fast for its speed, likewise a heavily armoured gunship probably still has less survival capability then a light gun boat.
  • Power armor may be subject to the sheet, depending on if the operator can be described as a wearer or pilot, this is a bury line, but a good rule of thumb is fallout 4 style power armor is subject, fallout 3 style power armor is not.

Time to just barf stuff out at you! Hopefully it's not too OP :DDDDD

  • Name: SPARTAN-B312. Also goes by former unit callsign of "Noble Six". Real name unknown.
  • Sex: Male
  • Class: Spartan. Spartans are consummate supersoldiers trained not just to fight, but to win at all costs. Their skills lie purely in combat, but their effectiveness comes as much from teamwork and fast thinking as it does their genetic modifications and equipment.
  • Race: SPARTAN-III supersoldier, a human being with significant genetic modification to allow them superhuman abilities and acumen.
  • Appearance: Unknown at the time.
  • Gear:
    • MJOLNIR Mk. V[B] powered assault armor. The helmet has a few accessories.. MJOLNIR provides additional armor, energy shielding, force multiplication systems that increase B312's strength, and thought-to-motion circuits that, with his augmentations, allow B312 to react practically instantly to threats. The armor's shoulder pauldrons are capable of detaching, and it also carries a small computer on the right arm, and a small medkit on the right leg.
    • A kukri, mounted on B312's right shoulder pauldron.
    • Magnum. Standard UNSC sidearm - it hits fairly hard and is reliably accurate, but doesn't carry much ammo.
    • DMR. UNSC marksman rifle - hits hard at a distance.
    • Four frag grenades. Each grenade explodes two seconds after striking any surface when armed.
  • Powers: Nothing to speak of; all of B312's superhuman abilities are covered under Physical Abilities.
  • Skills: B312 is considered a "hyper-lethal vector" - one of the deadliest SPARTANs to exist, and second only in performance to the Master Chief himself. No matter what it is or how it's used, when it comes to the art of killing, B312 is a master.
  • Physical Abilities: Project CHRYSANTHEMUM augmentations give Six near-superhuman abilities. Bones are nearly unbreakable; endurance and strength are boosted. Six can see in the dark naturally (with time to adjust), and his nervous system has been rewired to think faster; time runs slow in a fight, something dubbed "Spartan Time".
  • Quick Traits: To those that don't know him, he seems stoic and cold. To those that do, he is significantly more full of life, but his military life has left him somewhat socially inept. Willing to take great risks to save fellow humans. Somewhat uncomfortable around kemonomimi; significantly uncomfortable around nonhumans. Oddly, okay with most robots.
  • Backstory: Home planet of Argent III glassed by Covenant in 2533. Recruited for SPARTAN-III program in 2537 at age of 12. Exceptional service in training allowed him to be trained as a 'category 2'; a true supersoldier instead of an expendable shock trooper. Served as lone wolf assassin until 2552, when he was assigned to Noble Team in time for the Fall of Reach. Currently deceased[Citation needed].


  • Name: Naomi Studwick
  • Sex: Female
  • Class: Amateur Explorer. A pioneer of the stars, Amateur Explorers have a fair amount of skills, but their critical weakness lies in their lack of experience. Regardless, they bring to their job a willingness to improve and a zest for sailing forgotten seas - which is really what you want in an explorer anyways.
  • Race: Human
  • Appearance: Something akin to this.
  • Gear:
    • A spacesuit. The suit works as well on a planet as it does in zero-G and can seal to a built-in four hour oxygen supply. Provides some armor, but not much. Naomi wears an orange scarf in atmosphere.
    • Survival Backpack. Carries basic camping gear and survival tools.
    • Cranial implant. Allows Naomi to see in AR, and lets her control her computer with her mind.
    • A portable computer with science equipment. Can be used for regular computer things without being set up. Once set up, can connect to a combination weather station/chemical analysis suite. Databanks contain some excerpts of knowledge from her home.
    • The Degausser - official name Curiosity Repression Tool. 300 KeV proton carbine. Highly adjustable. Fires constant particle beam stream. Batteries allow for 10 seconds of constant fire.
    • Swiss Army Blaster. Laser multi-tool with power settings ranging from "kill" to "chemical analysis".
    • Two highly efficient solar panels, capable of charging and running Naomi's electronic devices.
    • A first aid kit. Intended for personal use. Can fix some wounds, but is no replacement for medical assistance.
  • Powers: None to speak of.
  • Skills: An adequate marksman, as well as an adequate first-aid medic, a somewhat seasoned outdoorswoman, and a fair diplomat and computer technician. Naomi's myriad of skills are tempered by her lack of experience in any of these categories; beyond testing this is her first real application of the abilities she's built up.
  • Physical Abilities: Near the peak of physical condition. She's not the strongest or the fastest, but she's no creampuff either.
  • Quick Traits: Happy, positive, energetic, and easy-going. Believes in humanity above all else, and thinks no problem is unsolvable given enough time, effort, and resources. Willing to try anything. A little naive.
  • Backstory: Born on Sif, agricultural colony orbiting the star Altair. Multiversal barrier was cracked at research station orbiting Vega when she was eight - living with exposure to the multiverse, she decided she wanted to become an explorer. After training and acquiring her equipment, her first adventure is happening right now, when her ship malfunctions...

  • Class: Fairy Tale Tracker

    • Steampunk Flintlock Rifle: Like a normal Flintlock Rifle, but Steampunk! Also has a retractable stand in it, and a timer that when it ends, fires a shot. Great for fakeouts.
    • Lumberjack Axe: Great for close quarters combat. Also, chopping trees, but nobody uses things for what they're made for.
    • Steampunk Prosthetic Arm: A prosthetic arm Red got after an incident involving a particular wolf.
  • Powers: Has the power to "Grimm" or "Lighten" things, depending on her emotional state, which makes her cloak an Empathic Weapon. Thinking of re-implementing this later in a way that makes sense.
  • Skills: Good with an axe and flintlock, although she prefers long-distance combat.
  • Physical Abilities: Quick on her feet, but not very strong, thus relies on her powers, trickery, and weaponry.
  • Quick Traits: Kind of a jerk, although not afraid to strike up a decent conversation.

  • Name: Catherine "Cath" Loswell
  • Sex: Female
  • Race: Half-Human, Half-Fishperson
  • Age: 22
  • Class: Hydrokinetic
  • Gear: Four canteens and the clothes on her back.
  • Quick Construct: Small, easy-to-create water constructs Cath can create without much effort.
    • Water Cards: A small, long-distance projectile. Comes in cutting or impact flavors!
    • Water Batons: A small, hard baton made of water, for close-quarters.
  • Skills: Good swimmer, decent kickboxing skills.
  • Physical Abilities: She has the power of Hydrokinesis, which, depending on how much she focuses, she can create some pretty powerful constructs near a large body of water, but she's left open. She's also quite nimble, at the least, swimming quite a bit. Can also breathe underwater.
  • Quick Traits: Bubbly, very sweet, always happy to lend an ear. Sometimes likes to tell (terrible) fish jokes.

  • Name: Donna Speckman
  • Sex: Male
  • Race: Human
  • Age: ??? (looks around his 20s)
  • Class: Butt-Monkey Mad Scientist
  • Gear: A large machine that resurrects him an hour after he dies, but it's fairly large (thus requiring him to hide it).
  • Powers: N/A
  • Skills: General all-purpose science guy, although he's bad with biology and poisons.
  • Physical Abilities: Very physically weak. A very strong, well-placed punch is probably enough to kill him.
  • Quick Traits: Generally nice dude, tries to hide his own insecurities and weaknesses.

  • Name: KL42 (Klaatu)
  • Sex: Female
  • Race: Gynoid
  • Age: ???
  • Class: Snarky Lab Assistant
  • Gear:
    • Iron knuckles: For when she wants to punch something in the face.
    • Energy Cannon: For when she wants to blast something in the face.
  • Powers: N/A
  • Skills: Decent hand-to-hand skills, knows how to give the Resurrection Machine a quick patch in case of damage.
  • Physical Abilities: Good strength and good speed.
  • Quick Traits: Very, very lazy, but can work provided she gets incentive. Also rather loyal to Donna, and those associated.

  • Name: Derail
  • Sex: Male
  • Race: Cybertronian
  • Age: "At least" 1200 Megacycles
  • Class: The guy that literally hits like a truck
  • Gear:
    • Bombs that he can pull out from his metal chassis, with varying types, be it grenades, time bombs, or detonatation types.
    • Hard Light Avatar: For when human infiltration is necessary.
  • Powers: N/A
  • Skills: Very few, preferring to plough through his enemies through sheer strength. Can create bombs provided he's got materials.
  • Physical Abilities: He's literally a giant robot that can transform into a plough. Do the math.
  • Quick Traits: Feels a bit lost and without a cause. Sometimes comes off as a bit bitter, but easily grows on comrades.

  • Name: Ra(y)chel/DBN-000/"Zero"
  • Sex: Female
  • Race: Gynoid
  • Age: ??? (Looks around her teens)
  • Class: Angry Robot Wolfgirl
  • Gear:
    • Claws: For clawing through bad guys like internet denizens tearing into a game of poor quality.
    • Scorpitail: Long tail that can impale bad guys like internet denizens... Er, wait.
  • Powers:
    • "Berserk": If too damaged or in too much emotional distress, Ray goes into an animalistic rage in which everything currently making her angry is her prey. Her strength and speed advantage is offset by her "decaying".
  • Skills: Has fairly little in terms of fighting ability.
  • Physical Abilities: Good speed and resilience, but bad strength-wise. The claws kinda make up for the last.
  • Quick Traits: Amnesiac. Nervous, a bit introspective, although has worryingly little moral qualms about killing. Too much damage or emotional instability makes her go "berserk", in which she's more aggressive and difficult to control..

  • Sex: Female
  • Race: Alka

  • Appearance: Pretty blue
  • Class: Adequate Diversion Decently trained soldier
  • Gear: A futuristic handgun and a mundane pocket knife.
  • Powers: N/A
  • Skills: Adequate firearms skills, acrobatic.
  • Physical Abilities: Pretty physically average; great at movement and the like, but can't take huge hits.
  • Quick Traits: Seemingly aloof and withdrawn, Alka would prefer to socialize and cook (don't eat any of her food). She's fairly friendly, if still learning how human contact works.

  • Name: Bago #8402-O
  • Sex: Female
  • Race: Bago
  • Age: [CLASSIFIED]
  • Appearance: Tall and muscular
  • Class: Brute
  • Gear: Nothing but her big, powerful fists, and kinda useless armor.
  • Powers: N/A
  • Skills: Very hand-to-hand oriented, but with absolutely no meaningful way to damage her enemies from long range.
  • Physical Abilities: Could flip a car over, but is, aside from that, actually pretty weak; a well-placed gunshot could probably incapacitate her. She just isn't designed for long-range combat at all.
  • Quick Traits: Bago loves a good fight, but is pretty capable of talking to people. Has a slightly dim view of guns, due to preferring "the purity of unarmed combat", but prefers not to vocalize it.

  • Class: Red/Green Wizard, with a couple levels in Barbarian
  • Age: Middle-Aged
  • Gear:
    • Standard-issue Combat Armor that has been slightly modified to allow easier arm movement
    • Claymore-Type combat shotgun
    • Spellbook, Spell Component Pouch, writing utensils
  • Powers: MAGIC; as well as the ability to travel between planes/universes mostly at will, although he doesn't really have that down quite yet
  • Skills: General magical knowledge, general combat experience, and some very basic mechanical knowledge
  • Physical Abilities: Usual Krogan Biology, entailing:
    • Slow regeneration
    • Multiple organ redundancy
    • Enough physical strength to make him hit like a small car when he charges at you
  • Quickcast Spells: Fireball, Lightning Bolt, Earthquake (localized, short range), a couple physical buff spells like Enlarge Person and such, and the emergency spell "Shotgun to the face"
  • Quick Traits: If you imagine a stereotypical Krogan, you are not very far off from what Turax is like. The only notable difference to his usual headstrong, cocky brethren is that he has acquired an interest in gathering knowledge that isn't just limited to combat, biology or mechanics. He has learned that knowledge is power, even knowledge that does not seem like it would be at first, and thus he seeks out to gain as much of it as he can.

  • Name: Auron
  • Sex: Male
  • Race: Human. Specifically, he's an Unsent, a person who is technically dead, but hasn't been sent to Spira's afterlife, the Farplane.
  • Age: 55 (because the 35 that the Wiki says is ridiculous)
  • Appearance: This guy.
  • Gear: Auron doesn't carry much past his gigantic katana — the "Masamune" — on his person. In his meager pack he has a few potions, a couple phoenix downs, and some mementos from his travels. He also has the giant jug of sake hanging by his waist, if that counts.
  • Powers: Due to his special nature — also known as his being an Unsent — Auron can tap into the Farplane to augment his abilities and pull out some special attacks. These attacks are colloquially known as "Overdrives." They can only be used every once in a while, due to how much energy they require of the user, but they're devastating when used. Auron's Overdrives are:
    • Dragon Fang: Auron leaps into the air and plunges his sword into the ground, hitting a wide radius around him with Farplane energy.
    • Shooting Star: Hilariously, Auron takes up his sword like a baseball bat and, with channeled energy augmenting his swing, smacks a single target high into the air...usually killing them with the smack, but the fall they make on the way down helps, as well.
    • Banishing Blade: Auron channels the latent energy of his sword after taking a steadying swig of alcohol, and sends spheres of Farplane energy at a target, aiming to knock them from this life entirely and send them on to the next.
  • Skills: Auron's skill with a sword is unparalleled, though he'll be the first to admit that that's about all he's especially good at. He's especially good at using his sword — and his body — to guard others from harm, along with sending his sword right into the places where it would cause the most debilitating harm, allowing him to reduce an enemy's strength or defense.
  • Physical Abilities: The man's built like a tank, basically. He's slowish, but hits like a battering ram and can't be moved from any spot that he's chosen. He's getting on in years, so he can't pull off a lot of the stunts that he could in his youth, but he's still in pretty damn good shape.
  • Quickcast Spells: N/A.
  • Quick Traits: Auron is well-known for his quick, dry wit and his dedication to the mission (whatever that may be at the time). He knows well how to protect a charge, if he has one, and will do everything in his power to make sure that they're safe, even if they may not be comfortable. Some may call him cruel or heartless, but beneath his hard exterior lies the heart of a deeply caring man, who has simply seen far too much death to take anything lightly.

  • Sex: Male
  • Race: Human technically

  • Class: Assault Marine
  • appearance
  • Gear:
    • One Eviscerator Chainsword (think a normal chain-sword, then super size it)
    • One Standard Astartes Jump pack
    • 2 Krak grenades
    • 3 frag grenades
    • Mk 7 aquila pattern armor
  • Powers:
    • I wasn't sure whether to put most of his stuff under powers or physical abilities
  • Skills: Einar is an assault marine, so he's basically trained in close ranged combat like no other. He is skilled in using both chain and powered weapons, preferring the massive Eviscerator type chain-swords, with some skill in using bolt and plasma pistols. He's also been trained in the art of riding assault bikes, he mostly prefers to use a jump-pack to leap high into the air and descended onto the heads of his enemies.
  • Physical Abilities (holy shit there is a lot):
    • Can spit acid
    • Can sweat a substance that would allow him to survive the void of space or other really extreme climates, but someone actually versed in 40K medicine would need to activate it for him
    • Can enter a state of suspended animation if severely wounded, but after that he's out of the fight until he's healed completely somehow and once again someone somewhat knowledgeable about space marine physiology needs know what to do to awaken him.
    • Is able to learn certain things by eating people (though obviously I'll follow deathwatch rules for this one so it's not just like he's chowing down on a random mook to learn the entire enemy battle plan)
    • His skin can darken to protect him from radiation to an extent
    • Has a third lung that allows him to breath in low-air or toxic environments
    • have a special kidney that makes it extremely hard to poison him or for him to get drunk unless some one has astartes pattern alcohol on hand. If he is poisoned the kidney can go into overdrive to get rid of it, but this renders him unconcious.
    • Has a second stomach that allows him to decontaminate food before the primary stomach digests it
    • Can identify many common chemicals by taste
    • Can go about 2 weeks without sleep while still functioning in top shape
    • pretty much immune to motion sickness and dizziness and he can start to filter out background noise if given a bit of time.
    • enhanced eyes, can't see in pure darkness but even low light is enough for him to pick out targets
    • I'd just like to add most of this shit isn't gonna be used because Einar is smart enough to always. wear. HIS HELMET. And also that eating corpses tends to be seen as bad manners.
  • Quickcast Spells:
    • Magic is heresy
  • Quick Traits: Einar is a quiet man and a bit of a loner, rarely removing his helmet or speaking unless directly asked a question. He is however quite warm under his battle hardened surface. A marine sworn to his word that would sooner die than break a promise, if someone is on the same team as him then he'll do everything in his power to get them through the situation alive and intact even if he dislikes them on a personal level.


  • Name of Vehicle: Einar's Assault Bike (he isn't that original with names)
  • Type of Vehicle: Motorcycle
  • Appearance: image
  • Size: it's big enough to seat Einar.
  • Level of Armour: Einar is completely exposed while riding but the body itself could probably take a few crashes to actually put out of commission
  • Speed: fully armed, likely around 180 MPH
  • Handling: it takes super soldiers wearing powered armor to control it, that should tell you what you need to know
  • Terrain Navigation Capabilities: can handle rough terrain and likely steep inclines.
  • Weapons and Equipment: twin-linked bolters
  • Modularity: the bolters can be switched out for flamers, melta guns, or plasma guns.
  • Quick Role Description: a scouting and rapid strike vehicle, Einar is supposed to ride this thing to either survey the enemy's formation, or ride straight into it at such speeds that by the time they know what's happened Einar's severed their head and sent it flying through the air. Of course the element of surprise has to be on his side, otherwise he's gonna go up in flames.

    • Power: She has the capacity to mutate her body to a degree, such as making her hair into tentacle-like constructs that have just enough tensile strength to grasp objects. Her most personal possessions also seem to be capable of temporarily "mutating" into the forms of similar objects (weapons, clothing, and containers respectively). She has to know how these forms are properly constructed, though, or they end up incomplete before violently snapping back to their original shape.
    • Time: Considered functionally immortal by the people who know her. Despite being exceedingly vulnerable to injury and mental attacks, she has somehow managed to magically regenerate herself into a coherent form so often that death seems impossible. Repeated revival has left her mind fragile, and a jarring enough experience can temporarily put her out of action. Also does not age, but still vulnerable to physical malady.
    • Space: Since inheriting the power of a Sorceress, her overall capabilities for magic has been enhanced significantly. She can now use magic drawing from the elements or heal allies. A lack of formal training means that there is always an inherent danger of either running out of magic or causing collateral damage.
    • Soul: She has the ability to construct familiars by temporarily splitting her soul, often in the form of tinier versions of herself. They're arguably less intelligent than their progenitor and barely capable of coherent speech, but can provide an extra pair of eyes and hands when the time is needed. Destroying them returns the soul shard to its owner, but comes with magical backlash that translates into physical.
    • Reality: Beyond a sense of luck that is prone to more extreme outcomes than most both good and ill, she has the lowest level ability to influence reality by creating minor illusions...but only if the target is willing or able to believe them. Used against the wrong target or trying to enforce too great a lie, and they're likely to be made hostile at realizing they were bamboozled.
    • Mind: An inborn photographic memory that allows her to solve complex problems or dredge up relevant information if she concentrates hard enough. A big "if" due to having a head stuffed with too much knowledge about fiction. The more complicated the knowledge she has to figure out, the harder she mentally crashes afterwards.
  • Skills:
    • Somewhat competent at various means of physical combat, primarily firearms and sword fighting. And very good at running from experience.
    • Knowledgeable in...anime and video game stuff. It's not always considered a practical skill, but a skill it be.
    • Also a fairly good talker in spite of being deranged, probably an effect of practicing for the sake of diplomacy.
  • Physical Abilities: Putting aside the aforementioned mutative form, she only has the physical capabilities of an experienced athletic human. Just with a disturbing level of survivability from the most seemingly lethal situations.
  • Quick Traits: Incredibly strange. Flip-flops between unusually childish and incredibly serious almost at the drop of a hat. Easily distractable. Has obsession with media and prone to confusing fantasy with reality. Claims to have multiple personalities too. Very loyal and caring to friends and loved ones even if she gets audibly frustrated at times.

  • Speed: Medium, agility and reflexes now comparable to an athletic human.
  • Handling: Requires Power Armor Training in order to operate efficiently. Handles like a breeze once you get over the learning curve.
  • Terrain Navigation Capabilities: Adaptable to HAZOP and EVA operations for now with the help of built-in maneuverable thrusters. Can't swim without a hydropack.
  • Weapons and Equipment: No built in weapons but it can link to the wearer's neural-link for better control of the suit. Built-in features are usually thrusters, dual storage binders, a diagnostic scan visor, life-support system.
  • Modularity: The power frame itself can swap out all of the armor plates and equipment, allowing for the armor to mix and match. Hell it can be stripped down to a power frame with only the fusion reactor to keep company with. It also attach optional equipment too, such as backpacks.
  • Quick Role Description: A tanky suit of armor originally meant for HAZOP operations. A replacement of Andy's old armor since Asagi sold it off to Andrews.

Name: Hastur | Hastur The Unspeakable | The King In Yellow | The Feaster From Afar


Sex: None as it is, but appears male in current form.
Race: Great Old One.
Class: Humanoid Abomination. Hastur possesses an arrange of Lovecraftian Superpowers, using tentacles in battle and altering others' minds via mental interference.
Age: Somewhere around 18, in reality aeons-old.
Gear: His casual clothes are a part of his own body fabricated from celluloids (thus they regenerate along with his body and can be changed visually at-will), a yellow crystal pendant, lots of implements for writing, painting, filming and other types of high arts.
Powers: Limited shapeshifting (see below), mental interference effects (see below), writing weird bad lyrics and poetry.
Skills: Hastur is interested in many kinds of art, and thus is well-versed in cinematography, literature, music and visual arts. Since his downfall he has retained deep, but in many areas limited knowledge of magic, its principles and sorcerous creatures, as well as astronomy and space navigation. Little to no practical skills of physical nature since this form is mildly uncomfortable for him, which is the reason of his occasional clumsiness.
Physical Abilities: While he does look like a frail kid, Hastur's actual weight is about 200 kg which he mostly uses to sprout tendrils and tentacles for offensive and utilitary purposes. So far he can't utilize it to assume bigger shapes or change his appearance, and sustained damage to his body can make him fall into torpor and knock him out. Protoplasm regenerates quickly, however, so in about a week Hastur can reform like a procariot would.
Quickcast Spells: Hastur's main power stems from the Yellow Sign, a sigil which allows him to exhibit limited mental powers like inducing thoughts, telepathy and dream communication with those who see the sign or wear it on their body. His pendant is what keeps him able to use the sign, but it is an extension of him so if lost he can recreate it with his own innate magical power. After regaining some power Hastur may learn more mental tricks or even limited space-manipulation like levitation or teleportation.
Quick Traits: The King In Yellow was a ruler of an extradimensional city of Carcosa, venerated by many cults on many planets... until a certain involuntary deity hunter Old Man Henderson has handed him his tentacled backside, making Hastur reform in completely different world after an unspecified amount of time spent regenerating. This form had to incorporate many of popular culture's beliefs of The King In Yellow, not in the least part a certain animoo franchise. Hastur is still somewhat amnesiac and is now completely detached from his cultists' nefarious activities since those dimwits have made him reincarnate in the first place - now he's just looking for someone to help him adapt socially and to show him more of humanity's artistic side, which he has great interest in.

Powers: Lisa is capable of using magic that makes her invisible, as well incapable of being heard by the naked ear. She (and what she's carrying) can also phase through solid matter like a ghost, but this ability is not practical in combat situations because she has to stand still for a while to use this particular ability. She cannot physically interact with anything while using this.

Skills: Despite her race being a major detriment to stealth, she is adept at sneaking in and infiltrating an area when need be. She also has general combat and magical knowledge, as well as firearms and sword handling experience.

Physical Abilities: As a giant, Lisa is very strong and capable of taking some punishment. She is also surprisingly graceful for someone of her size.

Quick Traits: Generally pretty professional, while still being friendly.

    • Quartz' Grimoire is an hefty tome containing magical and alchemical formulas, research notes, star charts and so on, in both physical and digital form, with a tablet embedded inside the cover, capable of storing and recording 2D and 3D media.
    • A small set of navigation tools, including a compass, a sextant, and other such tools. Although they do work fine of their own, they offer enhanced functionality and precision when connected to the aforementioned tablet.
    • The bastard child of a staff and a bow, Quartz' Bowcaster acts as a magical focus, channeling it into energy projectiles. Using physical arrows remain possible, although launched by the wielder's magical energy rather than using a string and the weapon's tensile strength; thus, it remains sturdy enough to use as a bludgeon should the situation require it.
    • Part portable garden, part ghillie suit, the simply named Soil Cloak is a piece of garment as fertile as any field. With appropriate intakes of sunlight and water, any seed planted in it will grow into a healthy plant. Thus, with the right plants, it can be used to blend in among greenery. It can also partially fulfill the wearer's food needs, as they can divert the nutrients produced by the plants and take them for themselves, or they could just eat the fruits growing there.
    • Some simple alchemy and herbalism ingredients, used to make potions, salves and medicine on the go.
  • Powers: In the magic department:
    • Rudimentary releases of magical energy. Just your average elemental spell-flinging, most often used in a destructive fashion.
    • Based on the same principles, but in a non-elemental fashion, he can apply forces to items outside of his reach and this manipulate them at a distance. In other words, telekinesis.
    • Another crude use of magic, he is able to to condense his energy to construct items from crystallized mana. However, said items cannot bear intricate small details or complex moving parts, and they usually cannot subsist outside of their maker's touch; Quartz can infuse them with additional energy to subsist for a couple seconds outside of his grasp; this extra energy, however, makes the magical construct dissolve much more violently, the explosive release of magical energy potentially harming anyone within arm's reach.
    • Another "quality of life" spell, he can use his magic to work on cloth and fiber, sewing pieces together/apart, and generally reshaping them to make or repair clothing, bags, ropes, tents and other such items.
    • A limited form of shapeshifting, only used to get some of his more cumbersome draconic features, such as his wings and his tail of the way for convenience's sake, or switching from his centaur-like lower body to a more traditional bipedal form.
    • Multiversal transportation, but. Opening a portal is easy; Opening a portal that actually leads somewhere survivable is another matter entirely. Quartz is going to need the coordinates to his destination, and the process involves lots of looking at star charts, calculations, and an empty, flat place for him to draw the spell circle that will create the portal; overall, about a couple days' worth of work. Furthermore, anything passing through the portal will cost energy to the caster; He will not be able to transport the entire crew nilly-willy, and the only way for him to move something like a spaceship would be to directly hook him up to said ship's power supply.
  • Skills: A decent outdoorsman, able to navigate the wilderness, acquire shelter and water, make the most of the local plants, hunt animals for food, defend himself against animals trying to hunt him for food, etc. Also has good knowledge of medicine and astronomy, the former allowing him to make some primitive first-aid out of his ,pieces of cloth and herbal remedies.
  • Physical abilities: Definitely stronger and hardier than your average human, at somewhere about "wrestling a bear" levels. The fire-breathing and his extra pair of arms doubling as wings also help in that regard. His centaur-like form also proves usefuls when it comes to carrying extra weight, or travelling across land with more speed and endurance.
  • Quick Traits: A young scribe from a remote tribe of a scholarly bent, sent in the multiverse to learn more about the world(s) for his homeworld. English/Common remains his second language, and he has mostly mended his shortcomings in the technological sector; he is in no way an expert, but he has a grasp on the basic principles and knows how to use Google.

Her maximum capacity is decided by mass rather than volume, so there are only so many weapons she can carry. The other standard Beryl ability, to teleport to familiar places at a range of (to be decided) is in tact. Beryls Gems trained in combat are capable of summoning a Gem weapon but Helidor is untrained in that area.
  • Skills: Helidor's life previously has been all about selling things, shuffling plastic from place to place and calculating which prices customers would be willing to buy things at. She also has a good understanding of chemistry.
  • Physical Abilities: Helidor has the strength and endurance of the average human, though she is a foot shorter than the human average. As a Gem she will retreat into her Gem when injured and will emerge after a period of regeneration. If the Gem itself is damaged however it requires special care to be treated or she will die.
  • Quick Traits: Due to a lifetime of admiring tough military types, she desperately wants to be a cool alien invader. However her internal compassion and lack of combat training mean that she's hopelessly inept at her goal.

  • Quick Traits: A synthetic kitsune made out of precursor tech, has a lot of human like traits due to the nanotechnology that powers her like needing to eat and breathe, and being able to get drunk.

Powers: As a floran, she is generally immune to plant toxins, and can eat pretty much anything edible. She also has a double jump, a quick dash-dodge, and the ability to roll into a ball about half her size and roll around.
Skills: She is a skilled hunter, can read binary, and has a very vague ability to read anything else. Surprisingly decent cook, as well. Very handy with a blade, but is smart enough to know that getting close can be dangerous. Likes to think she speaks monster, but really she just punches them til they stay in her capture pods. Skilled crayon drawer, her art is on many refridgerators. Can build a large variety of things, but needs equipment and materials. And materials to build equipment.
Physical Abilities: Skilled Jumper, stabber, decent shot, can throw a ball far.
Quick Traits: Cheery and friendly, if unnerving, Stab-Apple likes all people, unless they are a three eyed fishperson, though all people also make good food. Surprisingly moral for a Floran, this recently graduated Protectorate barely escaped the earth, and is very excited to see all the new friends she can make, even if they double as emergency rations.

  • Skills: Very good grasp of tactics and swordplay. She is a rather fierce warrior despite her looks.

Powers: Hathor uses arcane magic associated with the weather. Her control over this is limited, and cannot be used to do more than create small clouds or create water droplets. It has the potential to become significantly more powerful with time and practice, however.

Skills: Has an extensive knowledge about life in high society, social etiquette, diplomatic relations. Very basic knowledge of magecraft.

Physical Abilities: As a 20 foot tall giant, Hathor is considerably stronger than a normal human. However, her enormous size frequently causes problems and necessitates the use of her pendant.

Quick Traits: Hathor comes from a very wealthy family and is used to enjoying only the finest things in life. She can have something of an ego because of this, but she is still a kind person who cares about helping the less fortunate.
