Dead or Alive General

So we are just waiting for Brad Wong, Eliot (hopefully they will give him the right accent in the English dub this time), and Gen Fu to get confirmed together right? And maybe Raidou?

The other remaining six characters (Phase 4, Kasumi Alpha Nyotengu, Rachel, and Momiji) probably have the best luck being dlc. Dont know how good the latter two have at a chance to be put in the main roster again

Like Sonya's ending on Mortal Kombat 9, right, Shirow? To give a better example. Or Sheeva's.

Don't see how it fleshes out much of anything if it ends up being non cannon.

As cool as Quan Chi's ending with Lui Kang coming back in Kano's body is it doesn't really change anything since that ending was not cannon for the next game.

I would rather have endings that actually mean something for the character and actually be something that continues into the next game.

I believe Phase 4 was already confirmed as DLC.

Both Phase 4 and Nyotengu are confirmed to be DLC. Other than that, yes, Gen Fu, Ein, Leon, Kasumi Alpha, Brad Wong, Lisa Hamilton, Eliot, False Kasumi, Momiji, and Rachel are all the non-Final Boss/Guest Veterans remaining (Though I doubt the other Kasumi clones will ever come back, and I'm not sure if Team Ninja will bother bringing back Ein and Lisa when they already have Hayate and La Mariposa).

Well Team Ninja bought Ein back for DOA ultimate due to popular demand.. same with Leon. I am not sure whats the appeal to Leon for the ones that wanted him back. The devs barely did anything with him after his story (which wasnt that interesting to begin with either). Besides slightly more powerful, Leon and his moveset is not dissimilar enough for him to be worth using over Bayman (for me anyways).

At least Ein adds variety being the Mighty Glacier predecessor of Hitomi along with still having moves that are unique to him.

And I dont think Lisa was ever seperated from her La Mariposa identity in the previous game.

God, I nearly completely forgotten about everyone's ending in Deadly Alliance.

Well if I had to put my 2 cents on why I like Leon it's mostly because I like a man that's to his wife. I mean she's dead but still

Leon's infamous "come back once you've wiped your ass" line is among the best victory lines in the series haha, even if it was a translation error.

I like him over Bayman since he's a bit simpler to use.

I thought of who a Guest Fighter for Dead or Alive 6 could be; William.

Lisa's been confirmed. Or, rather "La Mariposa". Which I'm happy for considering how much time I've spent practicing her lately.

The game does seem to like introducing people in three, so Eliot/Brad/Gen Fu seems likely. However if they're gonna drop a character from the roster Gen Fu's probably on the chopping block. He really seems like a character that was introduced early on simply because martial arts stories are supposed to have an Old Master and they don't know what to do with him now.

I'm still pulling for Kazuma Kiryu.

So apparently DOA Xtreme 3 is getting ported onto the Switch. I'm kind of hoping this means that DOA 6 can get on the system as well. Or if not that, then a port if DOA 5 Last Round.

...I just really want a DOA game on my Switch okay? I've already have a few fighters on it already, and plan to get more when I can.

Elliot and Brad Wong confirmed!

Unshō Ishizuka has apparently recorded for Brad before passing away.

Good, I like Elliot, particularly his DOA 5 incarnation as he had a lot more personality.

Granted it'd be nice if he were actually good this time around haha.

It's bums me out that I'm not excited for this game. A lot of advertising are fine, I dare even say good, but the few things I really care about is whether or not the Ninja Gaiden girls are back or not. And even then that's not really deal breaker I just think it would be stupid. The other thing I care about is the game existing other than that, I got no real reason to be excited for this game.

I just hope we get more Ninja Gaiden characters, not just Momiji and Rachel returning.

Who else would there be, exactly? I'm not saying there aren't a few, but seriously wondering who'd be in the running. People have mentioned Irene Lew as a possibility (Which works for me. Her Ninja Killcount is higher than zero.) but after that nobody's too iconic. Mizuki Mccloud maybe? The Regent seems a bit too focused on sword-fighting to be a part of a hand-to-hand fighter but maybe he'd be this franchises' Yoshimitsu. He's certainly wacky enough. Genshin would be cool given he's twice the size of most fighters.

I'd say Gamov but he's dead. TBH he felt like a wasted character considering how cool Sigma made him out to be. I think Momiji and Rachel alone are fine. Irene maybe.

I still don't know, no tag mode is such a bummer.

I said it before, and I'll say it again; I want Irene Lew and the Malice Four.

I wouldn't mind but having more NG characters wouldn't make buy day 1.....even though I'm more or less buying it day 1.

He could come back as cyborg zombie or some dumb shit. Depend on tolerable people are for silly things like that.

I'm also going to suggest Yaiba for an NG guest star. I know he's controversial and Ninja Gaiden Z was an awful game but I think Yaiba as a foil to Ryu was about the only thing that game pulled off.

She takes out at least a dozen Black Spider clan in NG 2. I mean, she still plays the Damsel in Distress card pretty hard but I like to think she was Black Widowing it.

So the only characters we're missing now are Ein, Leon, Gen Fu, Raidou (I think he was in Nico's trailer?), Momiji, Rachel, Tengu, Genra, & Alpha 152. Guest characters being the exception of course.
