I was/am probably way too open about personal stuff on the Nunnery. Sometimes I worry about whether or not this stuff is going to come back to haunt me.

[up][up] I know a lot of employers check Facebook, but anless you're aiming for a position - I don't know, handling the CIA's most secretive files or something - how many would actually search the whole internet to find every forum you've posted on and read every post?

I just remembered I indulged in a bout of Repair Dont Respond back when I first started editing. Then, when I found out about the rule, I just corrected it.

This is pretty much what I did... ;A; It sounded like a good idea at the time.

I used to remove Real Life examples from pages without making requests on the Long Term Projects thread.

On the more "stupid newbie mistake" level, I used to think that "close replies" on Ask The Tropers closed the post so no one can reply to it anymore. I've done that several times to my resolved questions.

@ Explosivo: But that derail was hilarious.

contributed to the fresh hell that was Troper Tales.

So did I. However, I didn't post anything as bad as what we think of when we hear that name. Also, I was among the first to vote to get rid of it, so I feel my sin is atoned for.

Pretty much everything before we had to do the emergency repair work on separating Nightmare Fuel from High Octane Nightmare Fuel, including:

  • Anything involving Troper Tales
  • Overly personal anecdotes
  • Thinly-veiled complaining

I take TV Tropes more seriously after NF was in danger of being cut. I hope I've done better since then. Though once recently, I deleted some Natter but didn't PM the troper who made the offending edit. Was that wrong?

Not wrong, I'd say, just not as good as it could be. If I natterfy someone, I also usually correct the edit as a demonstration, but just correcting the edit still helps the wiki article and the person may learn elsewhere. In addition, if the natter was added more than a couple days ago then a PM is unlikely to help.

That was the amazing part. Things just keep going.

I renamed a trope (This Product Will Change Your Life) without a crowner, but I wanted to get rid of "Trope" misuse, and I changed most if not all of the wicks.

I'm not LGBT. I just think Rain's really cool. Apologies if my humor gets too painful.

[up][up] These, along with a review of Real Life that reads way more like a Fundies Say The Darndest Things entry than something workable,it was intended just to be Narmishly cynical, but didn't end up that way.

This just happened last week:

Was trying to embed a Youtube video that had a cartoon's opening in it. Accidentally embedded some Dr. Phil thing I clicked on by accident. Went back and fixed the post only to find that the correct video was no longer available for some reason.

I don’t even know anymore.

I once added an entry to the Fan Works subpage of Mind Screw that fit the trope well enough but was mostly an excuse to bitch about the fic itself.

Looking for some stories?
