One thing I've noticed is that for all how the page for They Might Be Giants claims them to be the unofficial official band of this wiki, there's relatively few people on this site who seem to ever reference them.

Actually on topic, I really hate when character pages just use screenshots from the show/game/movie as images. Especially when there's official art/renders.

I don't mind that, but I do hate when they don't have images at all if I'm trying to get an idea of who the characters are. I get it for books and stuff but not for visual mediums.

But why would you use screenshots when there's official renders. Heck, sometimes the characters have posters dedicated to them, why not use those? At least get a full body screenshot if you can.

Maybe the people who use screenshots for character images don't know about the official renders/posters? That, or the screenshots were selected before the renders came out.

Whenever I save images from Wikia/Fandom, they're usually WEBP, which isn't compatible with this site. Thankfully, there are plenty of image conversion sites to turn them into PNG or JPEG images.

internet-wide webp adoption has been so slipshod and haphazard and i still don't understand what benefits they offer over png files

To convert WEBP images to PNG, I usually copy the link to Discord and then save them to my computer as PNG.
