Prematurely launched pages and pages that weren't fully fleshed out at the point of launching, are a big problem. Since these usually share several problems at once, this thread is aimed at re-running them through the TLP for fixing - the usual fix - or cutting them if they are too bad.
Problems this thread deals with include bad names, not enough/bad examples, unclear description, etc.
For the interested, here's a list of recently created pages. Launches
Note: Please do not request a mod to unlaunch drafts that don't have any issues besides lacking a launch notice/24hr launch notice. While 24hr launch notices are mandatory, there are a few exceptions to the rule. If you see a draft's sponsor launch a TLP without an announcement, it's best to remind them of our TLP Guidelines first. If they continue to repeatedly launch drafts without a launch notice, you can report them on Ask The Tropers or the TLP Community Issues thread.

So are we doing anything with Ambiguously Asexual? Seems pretty unanimous that the page isn't good enough now, and near-unanimous that it shouldn't exist at all.
Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them.A few from the previous few pages we shouldn't let slip through the cracks:
- Literal Self Made Man: underdeveloped/needs more examples. Send it back?
- Secret Menu Item: stub with nothing but general examples. Send it back or cut?
- Eater Of Their Own Words: extremely misleading name, dupe of Laser-Guided Karma? Send it back or cut?
- More Popular Expy: stubby, A+B, trope abuse. Send it back or cut?
- Pirate Crab: random A+B (sea creatures in general are likely to be shown as pirates.) Send it back or cut?
- Ambiguously Asexual: just mentioned, adding here for completeness.
Literal Self Made Man looks possibly salvageable. Send it back.
All the others? Cut.
...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.Pirate Crab might be salvageable if it were broadened to include sea creatures in general. But I'm not sure, nor sure it's worth the effort.
Otherwise, I agree with .
Speaking words of fandom: let it squee, let it squee.Cut them all, send LSMM back to TLP... maybe it is salvageable, but if so it needs a lot of work and possibly a new name.
Reworking Pirate Crab to "sea creatures are often pirates" seems workable, but almost... Too obvious to trope, you know? But I wouldn't be against that.
Any other thoughts on Alleged Power Limits? As I said before, it's just Beyond the Impossible + Complaining and it only has four wicks. That seems like a clear cut.

Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them.Beyond the Impossible does not mean that at all.
Also, something from me: Complaining About Tropes You Dont Like. Entertaining or chuck-worthy?
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanBurn it. Even Darth Wiki is supposed to be witty, fun, or informative. That is none of them.
...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.In fact, I'mma put on my mod hat for this. Cutlisting it now.
...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.Beyond the Impossible is about going past what's established as possible for the setting. That's what Alleged Power Limits is about as well, except what's established are specifically power limits.
Any way, can we take action on any of these? Decision on most of the tropes are pretty unanimous.

Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them.Up To Eleven is the more relevant trope. Maximum power level, then beyond. Beyond the Impossible is about defying qualitative rules, not quantitative maximums. "So powerful the scouter explodes" is both, but "so powerful the scouter can't handle the numbers" is just Up To Eleven.
Link to TRS threads in project mode here.I still think it fits Beyond the Impossible, but specific better, but either way it's The Same But More Specific, with complaining, no wicks, and no need to exist.
Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them.Twisted Eucharist still needs unlaunching.
Unlaunched.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanSorry if here is not where to ask and/or if was asked already:
Does translating tropes to another language other than English requiere them to past for the Trope Launch Pad? and/or can they be just made at the troper's criteria.
No, just translate away into the appropriate namespace.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanGreat, thanks
Wondering what do about Becoming Hero. It has an extensive description, but only four tropes, all of them zero-context examples.
Also, it's in the ComicStrip/ namespace, which seems wrong since it apparently started as a Webcomic (or maybe WebOriginal/ for its mixed media nature).
This just snuck in the back door: someone made Literature.Romantic Pseudo Fantasy, which is clearly a genre page, and then some other innocent party noticed and requested that it be moved to Main/. Which is how I noticed it.
We are the only hit for the term on Google, so I seriously doubt it's a real thing. The description sounds redundant to Paranormal Romance, except the name is somewhat snarkier. Given that it opens by talking about works that are "more like Twilight", I tend to suspect may be intended to be a bit negative. (Twilight is an example of Paranormal Romance, but a widely mocked one.)
It only has nine wicks.
Speaking words of fandom: let it squee, let it squee. If someone cares enough to flesh out the tropes, even adding examples. But honestly, the strips are sketchy and not very gripping, so I have little interest in doing so. I left a message with the guy who created the page, but got no response.
Incidentally, "#blerd" is apparently a hashtag for Black and Nerdy, so I guess that's one more?
- Well, it lists Fantasy Romance and Fantasy-Lite as synonyms and says it's somehow different from Fantastic Romance, I guess by being set in a Fantasy world, ala Mendelsohn's Immersive Fantasy... instead of the "there is another world where romance happens"?
Perhaps it should be mainly defined by "that Romantic Pseudo-Fantasy is to High Fantasy what Paranormal Romance is to Urban Fantasy."
Perhaps rename to Fantasy Romance or Fantasy-Lite as that has more hits.
Intruigued as I like the 500 Kingdons and am wondering how it's a genre maker, if it even is.

Disambig Needed: Help with those issues! tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=13324299140A37493800&page=24#comment-576That's basically already covered by Paranormal Romance, which, as it says, is defined much more broadly than the name might suggest. (The term actually comes from the Romance Novel industry, which isn't too concerned with the fine distinctions between different types of Speculative Fiction.)
Speaking words of fandom: let it squee, let it squee.Vote to cut then.
Disambig Needed: Help with those issues! tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=13324299140A37493800&page=24#comment-576Agreeing with cut.
Going back to the unfinished ones:
- Literal Self Made Man: Send back to TLP. Potential trope, but seriously needs more time in the shop to gather actual examples or it'll be Too Rare To Trope.
- Secret Menu Item: Cut. Stub, and honestly isn't quite sure what it wants to be.
- Eater Of Their Own Words: Cut. Duplicate with non-indicative name.
- More Popular Expy: Cut. Not only is it stubby, but it's dangerous because it encourages misuse of Expy.
- Pirate Crab: Cut. "Crabs are sometimes pirates" is no more a trope than "lions are sometimes pirates." There's no actual pattern here. I'd be down for a "sea creatures get pirate attributes," but this is so specific that it's meaningless.
- Ambiguously Asexual: Cut. Preemptively nip this in the bud. Potential trope, but even straight from TLP it's riddled with problems.
- Alleged Power Limits: Cut for lack of wicks and complaining, in addition to being a duplicate.
- Cast from Stamina: Tropeworthy, but needs to be refined to only examples where "HP" and "Stamina" are explicitly distinct.

Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them.@4543:
I removed some tropes that I could find no justification for and I pushed my way through a few strips to try to find replacements. At this point, it's just a webcomic (which I can't tell if it actually updates...), so I'd say that we're best off putting it in that namespace.
Cast from Stamina: I can see how this is a trope, but almost only for video games which have a Sprint Meter or Fatigue Mechanic. Everything else is just "Cast from Hit Points but they feel tired" which is specifically covered by Cast From Hitpoints. Though the Animorphs example would be a legit non-game example.
