Inbounds are pretty impressive though, for the number of wicks. Darth Wiki it perhaps?
You know, there's a certain point when I stop laughing with trope examples and start laughing at them. This is that point.
Darthwiki it or remove the examples.

Fight. Struggle. Endure. Suffer. LIVE.Putting it in Darth Wiki makes sense.
Alt account of Angeldog 2437.What a freaking mess.
I would so want to sectionectomy it.
Darth wiki it, but but a bold note that if need bold ASSCAPS to state your points, then they aren't very good points.
"If you aren't him, then you apparently got your brain from the same discount retailer, so..." - FighteerI'd prefer not to put it in Darth Wiki. It's not supposed to be a dumping-ground for complaining.
It does not matter who I am. What matters is, who will you become? - motto of Omsk BirdThere's salvageable content here, but we should make a trope/tropes for it. Right now, it's stuffed in a page that's literally Something Bad TV Does Because Thay Are Wrong.
Should we YKTTW some tropes out of this? Flashback To Two Seconds Ago? Recaping Everything Again?
Viewers have no (Short-Term Memory), Viewers are forgetful.
I'd recommend not using a name that seems accusatory, since that seems to be what caused the problem in the first place. Even the introduction reads like it's a rallying call against The Man, not a trope that's being discussed calmly.
online since 1993 | huge retrocomputing and TV nerd | lee4hmz.info (under construction) | heapershangout.comProblem is that the basis of this trope's name have been busted by the Mythbusters. Maybe, name it after another animal that has the same thing as the supposed goldfish.

The expression is still alive, though.
The Internet misuses, abuses, and overuses everything.Yeah, lots of things aren't scientifically true that are still common idiums. I don't think that should be an issue.
Maybe add a disclaimer that this specifically does not include "Previously on..." (and related ilk in other media) and then remove the offending examples. (Maybe a new trope page for such things?)
There's a difference between little reminders of past events when there's a week or more between said events and now and recapping what has happened within the same episode/book/whatever
I'd say it's valid and not really complaining it's a subtrope of Viewers Are Morons
Rarely active, try DA/Tumblr Avatar by pippanaffie.deviantart.comExamples seem valid but need to be toned down. The ALL CAPS ones are pathetic.
Instead, I have learned a horrible truth of existence...some stories have no meaning.Shall I go through and replace all instances of capslock with lowercase text? That's something I've done, along with removing bold and italics, for a number of the Dethroning Moment Of Suck pages. I'd be very happy to see the examples get off the main wiki, be that to Darth Wiki (where someone will need to keep it clean) or just cut completely.
That was the amazing part. Things just keep going.I say cut all examples of this trope being played straight.
But, can we leave really egregious examples?
That's just complaining. And do we have a way to even enforce that?
There is no reason to sectionectomy this. There's salvageable content here. Some of these examples just need to be rewritten to maintain a neutral tone. This is a real thing that works sometimes do, and there's nothing wrong with us pointing it out.
I suggest a compromise.
If it's a recap, remove it, unless it's a really egregious case, like an episode intended to be a two-parter having one or something.
If it's the show constantly reminds the audience of something, reword it to maintain a neutral tone.

Waiting on a TRS slot? Finishing off one of these cleaning efforts will usually open one up.Bump for votes and crowner snapshot:
- Remove unnecessary emphasis (allcaps, bold etc.)? has 10-0.
- Split actual tropes off? has 7-1.
- Move Viewers Are Goldfish to Darth Wiki? has 4-2.
The rest is red.

A lot of examples on this page are getting extremely whiny and just complaining about recaps. I can't say I'm surprised with a trope titled Viewers Are Goldfish but still...
