Thread is now single propped up.
Welcome To TV Tropes | How To Write An Example | Text-Formatting Rules | List Of Shows That Need Summary | TV Tropes Forum | Know The StaffAlright, it's now 7"yeas" with 0 "nays". Do we need an expiry timer?
somethingNo, we need a few more days :)
Rhetorical, eh? ... Eight!A week later, it's 13:0. Does Intentional Engrish for Funny (the main suggestion from earlier in the thread) sound good enough to be the name?
I had a dog-themed avatar before it was cool.Well, if that's what we go with, we'd at least need Intentional Engrish as a redirect for the sake of brevity.
Insert witty and clever quip here. My page, as the database hates my handle.I just think Intentional Engrish is fine.
SPATULA, Supporters of Page Altering To Urgently Lead to Amelioration (supports not going through TRS for tweaks and minor improvements.)Let's just make an alt name crowner now.
I'm on the internet. My arguments are invalid.I think this has been stated earlier. Intentional Engrish alone doesn't make for a good name, because the trope is about intentional Engrish for the purpose of being funny. Or maybe it does, if no one can think of any other good reason for Engrish.
I had a dog-themed avatar before it was cool.Maybe for the purpose of trying to portray something as being written by a person who is not very good at English how she is spoke?

Insert witty and clever quip here. My page, as the database hates my handle.I think the only other uses of Engrish-on-purpose are in-universe examples of "Blind Idiot" Translation, or different tropes entirely (You No Take Candle, Eloquent in My Native Tongue).
Calling someone a pedant is an automatic Insult Backfire. Real pedants will be flattered.Agree, no need to limit Intentional Engrish to when it's Played for Laughs.

Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.1. How often is it played seriously?
2. Even then, it's for humor enough that playing it serious would be Played for Drama, but this still falls under Comedy Tropes.
I'm on the internet. My arguments are invalid.Calling crowner.
I didn't write any of that.Okay, let's compile alt names.
Also, should we just move the self demonstrating article the self demonstrating namespace?
I'm on the internet. My arguments are invalid.Yes.
I had a dog-themed avatar before it was cool.Thread is now Alt Titled up.
Welcome To TV Tropes | How To Write An Example | Text-Formatting Rules | List Of Shows That Need Summary | TV Tropes Forum | Know The StaffI think it's safe to call this.
I'm on the internet. My arguments are invalid.Too bad we can't call it Engrish For Great Funny.
An Ear Worm is like a Rickroll: It is never going to give you up.Calling crowner in favour of a rename to Intentional Engrish for Funny.
Welcome To TV Tropes | How To Write An Example | Text-Formatting Rules | List Of Shows That Need Summary | TV Tropes Forum | Know The StaffI've moved Zero Wingrish and all its wicks to Intentional Engrish for Funny, with exception of some that I will put into the locked-pages-edit thread. I've also created a new laconic and Cut Listed the old one, and updated Renamed Tropes and the FAQ thread.
After the discussion move, we should be done here.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanI'm going to fix the description. The self demonstration is cute, but it can be done in a Describe Topic Here joke.
EDIT: Done. Having even a self demonstrating page would have required both pages to match any major change, which would have just make the joke a pain in the read to maintain.
I think that does wrap up things here.

I'm on the internet. My arguments are invalid. Can this be locked then?
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanDiscussion moved. Locking.
I didn't write any of that.
Crown Description:
Vote up for yes, down for no.
I figured that it was better to be overly cautious, so there is now a single proposition rename crowner for this trope here.
