Ok, wasn't sure. TY. If you'd like to recommend my stuff; it'll be on the G.I. Joe's Fanfic Recs page. It'll be the second name of the A&W list. That or you can remove this post if I'm not supposed to ask.

Yes this is a self insert (not written by me), but its one of the few good ones. Since it uses the self insert and peggy sue aspects to further the plot in a good way.
I read this Buffy/Marvel cross yesterday and it is just fantastic.
It's only a single chapter but its 10K words and it has some fantastic sisterly interaction.
The only thing I dislike really about it is the was Joyce is treated, but its sort of necessary for the plot to happen.

I tried to email in this recommendation over a week ago and didn't hear back. So here I am now. I tried to follow the guidelines template for this presentation.
Inspector Gadget: Re Initiated by Silver Warrior Wolf ( link removed )

Synopsis: Alternate Universe set in the future. It blends together versions of the Inspector Gadget fandom. Not the first presentation to the AU but longest running in it. It has assignments or episodes which are each different stories. On the whole it is all tied together.

A note here towards the Inspector Gadget fan fiction page. For unknown reason some time between early '15 into '16, the IG 2 ones can't be found on FF . Net anymore and I have no idea where if anywhere they've been relocated to.

"A hero can come from any where, any source. Let here say never down the possible good one can do."Im currently reading this Mass Effect/Starship Troopers Crossover and i must say, this is a really great fic, the best part about it is the alternate Relay 314 Incident and the Council portrayed as logical and calculating politicians. The first book is already completed, and the sequel is still ongoing

Terran Federation: Contact by L4 of the WEST Recommended by larrynguyen Crossover with: Starship Troopers Status: Complete Description:The Terran Federation is nearing the end of the long Second Bug War, thanks to the discovery of hidden ancient structures known as Mass Relays and with Klendathu has been annihilated by a Nova bomb, and peace is on the horizon, however, others have plans for conquest, and the use of the Mass Relays will not go without consequences, for both themselves and the Galaxy at large.
The Story currently has an on-going sequel named Terran Federation:Counterstrike
Was recently thinking about fix fics and better than canon fics that remedy issues with the original, like Ashes of the Past, and as I recall of the Disney Prequel films the ideas and take there are better than most. Not all of them, but most. So, has anyone ever tried to make any fics that try to do this, taking the base plot of the film and expanding it into something more?
If not, any ideas of how to do such a fic?
I'm not quite sure what you mean, but the Disney fandoms are so huge my guess is that yes, someone has done that. Whatever it is.
I'm asking if any fix fics/better than canon fics for the Disney film Little Mermaid 2 exist, and if not any suggestions on how to do such a thing.
Can somebody recommend me a fanfic? I don't care what fandom or genre, but it should be something that stirs a sense of wonder. I really like Reality Ensues, First Contact stories, longrunners, Badass Normal, Action Survivor, and general munchkinry. Stories I've really liked are Sleeping With The Girls, Harry Potter And The Natural 20, and Dungeon Keeper Ami. I hated Harry Potter And The Methods Of Rationality.

I'm looking for a fic which has 100k+ words, is completed or ongoing (I don't see a reason to read short and dropped fics without conclusion). The genre should be adventure/sci-fi/fantasy, romance and other stuff is okay as long it's not the main theme (heavens no I don't want to read about Obi taking Ani for a milkshake and a swim again or talk about their feelings for an half an hour). Here are my favourites from fandoms I like(ofc I read the sequels as well, I won't list those):
/s/12369075/1/Harry-Potter-Alteran
/s/7718942/1/Broken-Chains
/s/8030445/1/Stargate-The-Guardian-s-Order

/s/12307781/1/Heroes-Assemble
/s/12592223/1/The-Spider

Just add fanfiction.net's home page to the links, coz I can't post real links.

Well, I've got a personal recommendation for GATE... the Fic's name is GATE: and so the Iron Pact Fought, and it's been practically consuming me for some time now.
Fanfiction: /s/12911793/1/GATE-and-so-the-Iron-Pact-Fought
Frozen in Carbonite:/threads/gate-and-so-the-iron-pact-fought.17/ (informational: /threads/gate-and-so-the-iron-pact-fought-there-informational-thread.145/).
Archive of our Own:/works/17366108/chapters/40864265
It's heavily based upon the fic 'and so the Soviet Conquered', and can be considered 'heavily AU', but personally I rather like to call it 'vastly expanded'. Partially to avoid certain canon elements (like the Gods making it impossible to make meaningful change to Falmart), and partially to make everyone look/act competent... although within the context of an incomplete picture.
Seriously, that is rare in a GATE Fic...

Hi, would like to submit for review and general tropery my Battletech fanfiction, "Clover Spear, The War of '56".
I do hope people enjoy it and it can be found here: Clover Spear
So are their any good Deus Ex fiction out their (I already know about the Mass Effect crossover which I'm planning to getting around to).
You're going to pay a price for every bloody thing you do and everything you don't do. You don't get to choose to not pay a price.Does anyone know No Country for Old Men and Tokyo Ghoul? Here's a crossover fanfic that has them both.
Here's the link. Also, here's the TV Trope page on it.
This has probably been recommended already on this thread, but it's such a good ongoing fic that the author is close to finishing that I feel it's worth mentioning again.
Traitor's Face by fanfiction author Loopy777.
It's a really epic Avatar: The Last Airbender AU.
To give a simple idea of how epically it's written, I'm a pure Katara x Aang shipper.
But in a universe where Mai was the first girl that Aang sees after waking up from his century-long frozen slumber, he slowly falls in love with Mai instead.
And I don't mind watching that happen!
Also, in this universe, Aang is unfrozen a year after the Fire Nation wins the war, so he has a lot more crap to fix.
I been reading a series of Fallout fanfics by LightningEagle titled Fallout: Autumn Morning, Tales From A New America and The Eagle And The Bear where the Enclave are the protagonists. I planning to create a Tv tropes page for this fanfic but i can't decide on what title to use. Anyone can help me out?
True Forces - a TMNT fanfic by DenymBear.
This takes place as a (fan-made) sequel to the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie.
Forget that Secret of the Ooze onwards ever happened.
This is the TRUE sequel that TMNT fans never knew they needed.
This fanfic keeps the tone of the first movie, has many call-backs and continuity nods to it, keeps Shredder as a dangerous foe, and expands the scope of locations and cast of characters very nicely.
What makes it better was that it was written by a mother who went to see the original movie with her children and fell in love with the characters.
I've been reading fanfics for years and now I'm scratching at the bottom of the well. I know there are still good fics to read but they're underrated and thus hard to find. Here is my list of 59 favourite fanfics so don't be afraid to take a look. I'm quite picky so my list is not the usual ~500 long. I've also written a bit of an intro to my likes and dislikes, Star Trek is welcome if you have a space opera/kingdom building to recommend, unfortunately I haven't found any other than a dropped one on spacebattles.com. Oh and Thin Veneer is kinda okay, but I dislike the writter as he's apparently obsessed with religious fanatical races. Don't recommend me fandoms I haven't watched or read like My Hero Academia, RWBY...
Transformers Animated: Cybertronian Genesis
A continuation fic for Transformers: Animated.
It expands more on the depth of the complex cast, especially the Decepticons, and it satisfactorily answers the question of Sari's origins.
Oh, and it ends with the start of another Autobot-Decepticon War, significant because Animated is one of the few continuities that takes place in a post-war universe.
Well worth a read for anyone.
I've chosen this moment to recommend this fic because it's sequel is nearing completion, with an update today.
While I'm at it, I will also go ahead and properly recommend:
Transformers Animated: The Mercy of Prime
Put simply, it's an Even Better Sequel to the above fic.
All of the main cast get their time to shine, you get some really great war sequences, and the emotional stakes are multiplied and amplified.

Ranma marries Akane and goes to college. Has a trope page here
The One Who Crosses The Sky In FlamesA Blue's Clues Dark Fic with a Bittersweet Ending (leaning towards sweet).
Mostly a prequel that gives insight on Steve and Joe's relationship as brothers, and explores how Steve going to college ultimately makes them both better people.
It's really poignant and bittersweet, and yet so full of hope and wholesome messages on valuing one's family that one must bring tissues with them if they are to read this.
Especially if they are a dog owner.
The "no advertising" rule is for things like links to pay sites or what have you. Encouraging people to enjoy a work that you also enjoyed simply isn't the same thing—especially in the thread dedicated to recommendations.
