- Awesome Art: Despite a rough start, it's certainly become one of the more, if not the most, well-drawn HTF fan-comics out there due to its cute, bright, and colorful artwork.
- Catharsis Factor: Sniffles fights back against the ants by eating them, causing them to retreat. Considering the torture and abuse he went through in the original shorts, and implicitly in the comic, by those very ants, it is immensely satisfying to see him so determined when he sees how much Lifty was in peril.
- Ho Yay: Lifty and Sniffles. In Chapter 5, when Lifty gives Sniffles an avocado and tells him not to overwork himself, Sniffles blushes ever so slightly and smiles as he thanks him for the kind gesture. The overtones are then amplified in Chapter 6 when Lifty goes to rescue Sniffles from the ants and Lifty gently touches his cheek, culminating in what looks like a Headbutt of Love, Sniffles grabbing hold of Lifty's arm for comfort, and perhaps the crème de la crème of it all is Lifty's reaction to seeing Sniffles slurp up the ants by wrapping him in a tight embrace with two little pink hearts surrounding them.
- Moe: FennecSilvestre's art style translates very well to the characters, and they look absolutely adorable as a result. The most (in)famous case of this is the Rat from "Mole in the City". Despite his red eyes and black fur, he looks like he could pass for one of the tree friends. It's not so surprising when you learn he used to be a forest guardian before he turned rat.
- Platonic Writing, Romantic Reading: Many readers still consider this a Flippy x Flaky story despite it not being the main focus, with FennecSilvestre having said the story won't go on a romantic route. Since a majority of the plot centers around Flaky and her journey to rescue Flippy from an evil general who wants to take advantage of his power, it's hard not to see the story going in another direction.
