YMMV / Nameless ~The one thing you must recall~

Go To

  • Alternate Character Interpretation: Is Tei genuinely a kind person who wants to fill the Team Mom role he plays, or is all of his domesticity just an act to distract himself from his obsession with Eri? Yeonho and Lance's bad endings prove he will not hesitate to kill the other dolls if he feels he needs to, but there are moments that could imply an honest affection for them. His animosity for Yuri (which surfaces only after Yuri finds out how twisted Tei really is) may suggest otherwise.
  • Cargo Ship:
    • The school nurse is blatantly and obsessively in love with Beatrice, his skeleton model.
    • Eri herself eventually falls for her dolls, although unlike Beatrice this doesn't happen until they have human avatars that can return her interactions with them.
  • Draco in Leather Pants:
    • Tei. He's responsible for at least one disturbing bad ending in EVERY route, his own route features four of the most horrifying bad endings in the game, he manipulates everyone around him (including Soi, who is honestly smitten with him but whom he only dates to distract himself from Eri), and he's deeply unstable and violent even on the way to his good ending. But he's pretty and makes delicious food, so naturally he's one of the more popular options.
    • Tei AND Yuri in Yuri's third bad ending, in which they decide to "share" Eri between them. It's obviously meant to be disturbing in-game, but there are plenty of fans who don't exactly object to the idea.
    • Yujin, the school nurse, both in-game and in the fandom. Obsessed with bones, deliberately creepy and off-putting, but again... he's really pretty.
    • The Wizard. As he was in Dandelion, he's morally ambiguous at best, and this game is much more potentially dangerous for the "heroine" than his previous one. But between his long hair, ornate outfit, Pretty Boy look, and cool Leitmotif, he gets plenty of admirers. His snarky interactions with Nameless/??? don't hurt his popularity, either.
  • Hollywood Homely: Eri considers herself to be plain and most people don't consider her beautiful, which is especially noticeable on Yuri's route, until she begins to use make up and is revealed to be Beautiful All Along. Actually, she's the cute type.
  • Why Would Anyone Take Him Back?: Some players' reactions to Tei by the end of his route. Not unlike Jiyeon before him, Tei is dangerous, manipulative, and physically threatens or assaults Eri on the way to his good ending (though unlike his predecessor, the Forceful Kiss only happens in a bad ending). Chances are that by the time you get to Tei's route, you'll also have seen him kill both Lance and Yeonho in their bad endings, and more of what he's capable of in Yuri's. Not to mention the part where he asks out Soi to drive Eri away and proceeds to ignore Soi until she breaks it off. There are plenty of players who want nothing to do with him by the time he comes around.
  • WTH, Costuming Department?:
    • The shoes that Yuri gives Eri on his route. They are either really cute or a strange color choice of pale pink with purple heels and a sparkly green bow on the side.
    • Tei's tan jacket and pants along with the purple button-up aren't too offensive on their own. Add what looks like a waist cincher, some kind of buckled leather(?) thing across his chest, and a bag that appears to be hanging from his belt down to his knee, and it's a fashion disaster.
    • Red appears to be wearing half a plaid shirt and a white t-shirt under his leather jacket, as well as another shirt or jacket tied around his waist. And a studded belt over that. Lance hates the entire ensemble.
