• Awesome Art: And how! The hand drawn animation on the characters look incredibly fluid and the backgrounds are quite breathtaking with plenty of Scenery Porn. It's something that's an accomplishment in spite of how most animation studios rely on CGI for their theatrical films.
• Awesome Music: "This Journey" sung by Joy is an uplifting and well made song that fits perfect for Nachi's character, and it sounds equally as good in Spanish.

• Base-Breaking Character: Pako. You will either find him a Plucky Comic Relief and love his dynamic with Nachi, or an annoying Motor Mouth who never shuts up and would sometimes ruin crucial emotional moments in the film.
• Best Known for the Fanservice: The infamous scene with Zaina swallowing a fruit to pretend to have breasts and badonkadonk.
• Cult Classic: Barely discussed about and was ignored since its limited theatrical release, but has a small, but dedicated following in the Internet.
• Ensemble Dark Horse: Calli is seen as the most well-liked character due to having some of the best jokes in the film, and his Jerk with a Heart of Gold attitude as well as being The Sixth Ranger of the gang makes him the most popular character within fans.
• Evil Is Cool: Zaina has been said by many viewers to be one of the best villains ever in recent animated history for her Social Darwinist attitude and attractive appearance.
• Moe: Xuxu the axolotl is this with its Cute Mute personality and being quite useful for Nachi during the third act.
• Squick: In the beginning of the film, Pako comments about how his own organs are visible from under his skin, causing the baby animals to be understandably grossed out.
• They Copied It, So It Sucks!: A few people criticized the film for being a rip-off of The Lion King, due to sharing similar elements such as the addition of talking animals, how the plots are similar with a villain taking over the leader of the land, and a wise shaman character. This is all minor details as the movie is actually more than just being a Mock Buster.
• Too Cool to Live: Balam is well-liked by the fandom for his cool-looking design and fierce attitude. Too bad he's only in the movie for less than 10 minutes as he died during an earthquake while trying to evacuate the other animals out of the Land of Xo.
