• Awesome Music: The anime plays the music too quietly to appreciate it, but the soundtrack CD really shows how good the music is. Even in the anime, you can still hear the awesome if you pay attention. Try listening to the music when Takatori Reiji speaks. Also, "Piece of Heaven".
  • Every Radio Drama has its own opening and ending songs. There are some duds, but there are also some real gems, like "The Road".
• Continuity Lockout: Of all the media produced for this franchise, only the two TV series were ever licensed and made available in English, even though some of the missing media is important for filling in the time skips. Fans who watch Glühen directly after the original TV series without any knowledge of the events of the Verbrechen / Strafe OVA and Dramatic Precious drama CDs are likely to find themselves confused by the changes which have occurred between the two. Likewise, those weird chess players lack context without knowledge of the Crashers: Knight & Ran drama.
• Damsel Scrappy: One of many criticisms aimed at Sally Schumars.
• Die for Our Ship: Nearly any female character who has any kind of romantic connection with any of the leads comes in for hate from the fandom (in spite of the general futility of shipping in Weiß). Tot, Ouka, and Sally are probably the worst cases.
• Draco in Leather Pants: Schwarz spend most of their time unrepentantly organizing mass murder and social chaos when they're not tormenting the main characters or (in the case of one member) torturing priests to death for fun; so naturally their fan following rivals that of the protagonists.
• Fanon Discontinuity: Many fans are content to pretend that everything after Kapitel never happened. Can you really blame them?
• Harsher in Hindsight: The scene in the Kapitel finale where Weiß (and Aya most bluntly) tell Birman not to come on the mission with them because of her injuries gains a much harsher sting in light of Dramatic Precious, in which she shoots herself with Aya's gun after being tortured by Ayame, because Weiß insist on rescuing her and her injuries are slowing them down.
• Narm: For Swedish viewers, it's absolutely IMPOSSIBLE to take the anime seriously while watching it with the original Japanese audio, as most of the voice actors cannot pronounce the "W" in "Weiss" and substitute it with a "B" sound instead, so the word that should normally be pronounced as "vice" becomes "bice"... which to Swedish viewers sounds EXACTLY like "bajs" - the Swedish word for poop.
• Replacement Scrappy: Sena has been accused of being Omi's, based on his taking over the team's "kid" role and bearing a resemblance to Omi's Glühen design. Chloe in Side B is more of a Suspiciously Similar Substitute: he shares many qualities with Youji, but Side B fans love him for it.
• They Wasted a Perfectly Good Character: Botan, we hardly knew ye. But any man who shows up unexpectedly in his subordinates' cars and eschews motivational speeches in favor of beating Aya up until he agrees with him is good in our book.
• They Wasted a Perfectly Good Plot: The brief indications of Schoen's rivalry with Ken never really go anywhere, despite their potential.
• Viewer Gender Confusion: Michel in Side B is a really girly-looking young man, and his wardrobe choices (which tend towards frilly blouses and kilts) don't help matters.
