  • All-Star Cast: Naturally, as a voice actor vehicle. Over the years, the main cast have joined the ranks of the most prolific voice actors in the industry. According to the Anime News Network, Seki is one of the few voice actors with over 500 credits to his name, with Miki having over 600, and Koyasu being the only one with over 750.
  • Inspiration for the Work: One of the series' original inspirations was a period drama about assassins in Edo called Hissatsu Shigotonin. Ken and Youji's weapons were both inspired by this show, and Tomokazu Seki is also a fan.
  • Keep Circulating the Tapes: The last dozen or so chapters of the Side B manga were only published in Zero-Sum WARD. Years later, they've still not been collected and published in book format.
  • No Export for You: Western fans who want to catch up on the parts of the story that are All There in the Manual will have to dig online for fan transations of the various Radio Dramas, literature, and manga, or else be out of luck.
  • Publisher-Chosen Title: Takehito Koyasu originally wanted to call the series "The Cat People." The producers told him he needed a cooler, stronger-sounding name, which made him think he needed something in German. He chose "Weiß" because it also sounds like "vice," indicating the fact that Weiß aren't actually the good guys.
  • What Could Have Been: Youji and Ken were originally supposed to have 'second' names, like Aya, Omi, Sena, and Chloe do. Ken's was 'Hyde' and Youji's was (naturally) 'Asuka.' Koyasu's admitted that he likes giving male characters feminine names.
  • Word of God is that Omi's aim is so good he can hit an apple a kilometer away. Similarly, Youji's wire can pierce a 20mm thick iron plate, according to Tsujii's files.
