YMMV / Cemetery of Terror

Go To

  • Awesome Music: The score by Chucho Zarzosa, done with piano and synthesizer, can be quite catchy and stylish and even creepy at times.
  • Complete Monster: Devlon, in life, murdered 17 people, including his parents. After being resurrected, he brutally murders the six teenagers who inadvertently revived him. He proceeds to try and murder five children who enter his home, and creates an army of zombies to prevent them from escaping. He tries to kill Dr. Cardan when he tries to rescue the children, and eventually transfers his soul into Cardan to escape death.
  • Narm: What with the bad acting and hammy dialogue as well as a story that runs entirely on coincidences and dumb luck, yet everybody plays their roles very seriously, which for many fans of the movie makes it fall into Narm Charm.
  • Nightmare Fuel: The scene where Cesar, the second youngest of the children, falls into a deep hole while running through the cemetery, and as he tries and fails to scale up the slippery muddy sides, a zombie slowly comes out of the mud near him, ready to grab him. On top of that, as the other kids struggle to get Cesar out of the hole before the zombie can grab him, Devlon approaches the kids from behind.
  • So Bad, It's Good: What many fans of the movie consider it as, pointing out the bad acting, dialogue and other things, yet enjoying it as an entertaining and energetic B-Movie.
  • Special Effects Failure:
    • While some of the special effects are quite decent for such a tiny budget (the gore effects are nice and the sets used for the abandoned house and the cemetery itself are quite good), many have noticed that the make-up for the zombies can be pretty awful, and the scene where they come out of their graves showcases that the lids for a few of the graves are clearly made of styrofoam.
    • Devlon, in the finale, catches fire after Usi burns his book. It is very obvious that it's a stuntman in a bulky protective suit.
