Tapiseri Soujourn is an Action/Fantasy webcomic by Pavotic published on Webtoons.

The land of Turan, the "Upper World," floats above the surface "Lower World." A young woman named Soujourn fights against her destiny to be used as a sacrifice. She resolves to eliminate the dragons whose magic keeps her world afloat.

The story begins as Caleb, Soujourn's ex-fiancee, pursues her to the city of Atta. Daedalus, the inventor, prevents him from finding her, but his motivation for doing so is unknown.

Contains the Following Tropes:

  • Achilles' Heel: When Daedalus gains the upper hand over Soujourn in battle, she realizes his weakness is his pride.
  • Attack Its Weak Point: Soujourn realizes that Daedalus' weak point is the vents on the sides of his head, and targets them in her attack.
  • Break the Haughty: Daedalus is so arrogant and dismissive of Soujourn that he is taken aback when she stabs and decapitates him.
  • Can't Kill You, Still Need You: Soujourn doesn't seal or kill Daedalus right away because she knows she can get information out of him.
  • Elemental Powers: Soujourn is able to make it rain in order to put out the fire in the village.
  • Empty Eyes: While burning down the village, Caleb has empty, crazed eyes.
  • Everyone Has Standards: Daedalus refuses to help Caleb without knowing what he will receive in return, stating that not working for free is "One of [his] few moralities".
  • Inner Monologue: Soujourn has a running inner monologue as she analyzes her opponent's actions and plans her next moves in battle.
  • It's All My Fault: Soujourn blames herself for Caleb burning down the entire village in order to find her.
  • Magic Misfire: When Soujourn makes it rain to put out the village fire, her anger turns it into a monsoon, alerting Caleb to her presence.
  • Moody Mount: Caleb's horse always has an angry or moody expression on his face.
  • Pride Before a Fall: Daedalus is so prideful that he believes Soujourn has no chance of defeating him, leaving his weak points exposed and [[spoier:Soujourn stabbing him there and decapitating him]].
  • Screw Destiny: Soujourn fights her fate of becoming a sacrifice.
  • Shapeshifting: While pursuing Soujourn, Daedalus transforms into a dragon.
