Crimson Jungle is a JoJo's Bizarre Adventure webcomic/fanpart written and illustrated by GarPlatinum.

Set in 1968, the story stars Jordan Johanneson, illegitimate son of Joseph Joestar, after he gets drafted into The Vietnam War against his will. On his way to Saigon, he's nearly assassinated by an arrow. Unfortunately for his would be assassins, the arrow in question is a Stand arrow, which ends up giving him a Stand instead of killing him. With his newfound power, Jordan and a small group of fellow Stand-using soldiers plan their escape from Vietnam. Alas, the Lonely Hearts, the group assassins still plotting Jordan's death, have other plans for him.

Crimson Jungle contains examples of the following tropes:

  • Action Girl: Malu Loris and Misty Mauve.
  • Alliterative Name: Jordan Johanneson.
  • Another Dimension: The Stand World, an ethereal realm that all Stand users have access to. So far, Jordan has visited it twice.
  • Beware the Nice Ones: Seal is generally affable and laid back, but he pulls no punches in a fight.
  • Casting a Shadow: Little Wanderer's ability is to merge with darkness, mostly shadows.
  • Combat Medic: Malu is a trained nurse, but that doesn't mean she's not a fighter.
  • Defeat Equals Friendship: Faisan joins the group after Seal defeats him.
  • Elsewhere Fic: Outside of the Stand arrow and a brief mention of Jordan being Joseph's son, the story is completely divorced from canon.
  • Extra-ore-dinary: Faisan's Stand, Spandau Ballet, allows him to generate shoot gold from its fingertips. This gold can be used as bullets, restraints, or even weapons.
  • Eyes Do Not Belong There: Con Ho's Stand, Dirty Heads, allows him to take off his facial features (such as his eyes) and place them somewhere else, including on someone else's body.
  • Green Thumb: Seal's Stand, Kiss From a Rose, gives him this ability. He can't 'create' plants on his own though, so he carries a bunch of seeds around with him in order to use his ability.
  • Having a Blast: Fortunate Son is an interesting subversion of this, as it generates napalm to create explosions rather than just making things explode on its own (a la Kira).
  • I Will Find You: Malu is primarily motivated to flee Vietnam to see her girlfriend again.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: Pun aside, Faisan may act haughty and somewhat full of himself, but ultimately his heart is in the right place.
  • Kiai:
    • Fortunate Son's Stand cry is "ORAORAORAORAORAORA!!!"
    • Kiss From a Rose's Stand cry is "ROOOOAH!!!" In Chapter 21, "FLORAORAORAORA!!!" is also used.
    • Spandau Ballet's Stand cry is "USHAAAA!!!""
  • Meaningful Name: In-Universe, Jordan names his Stand Fortunate Son because he feels "fortunate" to survive an arrow to the neck.
  • Musical Theme Naming: A tradition carried on from the series its based on.
  • Race Lift: Malu goes from Caucasian to Polynesian Hawaiian from chapter 11 onwards, lining up with her Hawaiian name.
  • Together in Death: The end of chapter 21 shows Mauve holding hands with Banh as she dies.
  • Tsundere: Downplayed; Mauve claims that she and Banh were only coworkers and nothing more, but she still calls him "her love" after learning about his death.
