Dragon Ball Absalon is an web-animated series based on the Dragon Ball franchise created by Mellavelli. The story takes place 12 years after the events of Dragon Ball GT, with the Earth facing a new threat in the form of mysterious invaders, who come to Earth searching for Saiyans to recruit. Now, the Z-Fighters must do all they can to protect the Earth and stop whatever the invaders are trying to do.

Dragon Ball Absalon has examples of:

  • Artificial Limbs: Future Gohan sports a cybernetic arm to replace the one he lost to the Future Androids.
  • Ax-Crazy: By Future Gohan's own admission, the Truhan fusion is unstable and prone to losing any mercy when fused for too long.
  • Back from the Dead:
    • Cyborg wishes to revive Broly in order to recruit him.
    • Future Gohan was revived sometime before the events of the series in his own time by Future Trunks.
  • Body Horror: As a side effect of taking a serum to become more powerful, Pirika's left arm eventually starts to mutate and enlarge once he becomes a Super Saiyan 4.
  • Both Sides Have a Point: While Kosho is right in a way about fear holding a person back from growing stronger, Gohan also points out that having no fear can make a person arrogant, leading them to their own demise since they don't know their limits.

  • The Cameo: Raditz's corpse is found by Cyborg and implanted with Broly's DNA, which briefly restores him to his canon appearance. The DNA is quickly rejected, causing Raditz's face to explode.
  • Curb-Stomp Battle: Once Kosho transforms into a mastered Super Saiyan 4, Gohan goes down in a matter of seconds.
  • Dragon with an Agenda: Episode 8 reveals that Cyborg has his own unknown plans.
  • Fan Sequel: This series is a sequel to GT.
  • Fusion Dance:
    • Like they did in Dragon Ball Z, Goten and Trunks fuse into Gotenks in order to take on Golden Great Ape Pirika.
    • Future Trunks and Future Gohan fuse into their Potara Fusion, Truhan, in episode 8.
  • Impaled with Extreme Prejudice: How Majuub kills Zissle, impaling him through with an energy blade.
  • Man on Fire: Pirika after he's hit full force by Goten's Kamehameha, which burns off all his hair and burns his skin.

  • Off with His Head!: Pirika dies this way, being decapitated by SSJ3 Gotenks' Destructo Disc.
  • Red Eyes, Take Warning: Majuub's eyes turn red once Super Buu awakens in his mind.
  • The Reveal: Zissle is a Majin and had formerly encountered Kid Buu, which is how he recognizes Majuub to be the same being through his similar fighting techniques.
  • Superpowered Evil Side: Super Buu manifests as this in episode 5.1 when Zissle generates sound waves at Majuub.
  • Wham Line: At the end of episode 1, after Razzle has opened the gate.
    Razzle: Let me introduce to you the undisputed masters of the universe... the Saiyans.
