WMG / Ultraman Trigger: New Generation Tiga

Go To

Trigger is Tiga's son or descendant.
  • It makes sense when you think about it.
    • Seemingly Jossed, Trigger explicitly takes place in an alternate universe.

Akito Hijiri will became Kengo/Trigger's enemy instead of just being a "Friendly Love Rival".

Akito Hijiri is the series main villain.
  • It's very related to contents above.
  • Also Jossed at least for now, the main villain is Carmeara.

Akito Hijiri will be the Alternate Self of Keigo Masaki and, by extension, Evil Tiga
  • Alternatively, Akito creates a way to use the original artifact in the hopes of fighting alongside Trigger, but Ignis steals it and his negative traits corrupt what little remains of Ultraman Trigger's light within it, creating Evil Trigger.
  • Confirmed in the basic execution, the Ancient Sparklence is stolen and used to become Evil Trigger, but it's done by completely different characters.

The Dark Giants’ human forms…
  • Are Kengo’s comrades in GUTS Select. I mean, what better cover for mos tier masters than as the people who control monster outbreaks. Plus the gender ratio of the other field members matches up.

Tiga will actually appear and team up with Trigger
The preview put some really heavy emphasis on him. Maybe there's a reason for that..
  • Confirmed.

Trigger will be followed by two other reimagined Ultras.
There names will be Ultraman Dynamic and Ultraman Terra.

The flower that Kengo carries with him is this universe's Gijera.
Kengo explicitly stated the flower was the only one he could grow on Mars, which already sounds a bit suspect. Plus it would make for interesting writing to pit the hero whose catchphrase is “smile, smile” against a foe that made people smile through false happiness. For extra fun, it might play the role of Vulthoom from Clark Ashton Smith's work (which is often counted as part of Cthulhu Mythos).
  • Semi-confirmed. Ultraman Decker reveals Kengo subconsciously based R'lyeh on Gijeran, this universe's equivalent of Gijera with elements of Juran mixed in.

The flower that Kengo carries with him will set off the Endgame
It's named R'lyeh!
  • Jossed, it does nothing and only blooms after all the action has ended.

Yuzare was Trigger's previous Deunamist.
Why else would her spirit be hanging around with enough mojo to block a few attacks from Carmeara?

The Eternity Core is what destroyed the Ultra-Ancient civilization.
  • Carmeara, Darrgon and Hudram want it back to take it out on the entire universe.

Okagubila is a robot
Like Geozark, there will be a Robotic Reveal after its defeated. And Ignis or someone else will turn out to be its controller.
  • Jossed. It simply explodes.

Darrgon will pull a Heel–Face Turn
Episode 4 shows him either doubting or worrying after seeing Carmeara's violent outburst when he brings up Trigger, perhaps they will expand on the original Darramb's view of Tiga as his friend, but instead make it so Darrgon ends up turning to Trigger's side due to legitimately growing to view Trigger as more than a Worthy Opponent.
  • Semi-confirmed, he turns to the side of good as a result of his love for Yuna, rather than friendship with Trigger; but gets brainwashed into a mindless berserker and forcefully killed by his now-friends.

Returning Tiga and Dyna Kaiju/Alien Guesses
  • Kyrieloid. They're very iconic foes of Tiga and to exclude them would be quite controversial. Plus, Hudram's design is heavily based on them, so there could be an Adaptation Origin Connection to give them a bigger role.
    • Confirmed by a magazine scan.
  • Zoigers. Also another of Tiga's most famous kaiju, they could appear in the finale with the same role as before, plus there are available stage show suits to represent it.
  • Goldras and Silvergon. Assuming the suits from Superior Ultraman 8 Brothers haven't degraded yet, they could easily be used to represent new versions in the show.
  • Gijera. Could come into existence thanks to Kengo's martian-grown plant, R'lyeh, it would not be out of place and could easily be introduced.
  • Gatanothor. Yet another iconic foe of Tiga, given that Carmeara is playing a big role in the series as the Big Bad for the time being they could eventually have Gatanozoa appear to allow them to fuse into this world's version of Demonzoa for the final battle.
  • Reicubas. Dyna's famous foe and a quite underused kaiju, given that Gazort managed to come back despite not being used in a while either, there's a chance for this monster to return.
  • Sphere. Last seen in Ultraman Saga they could easily have one attack Trigger's universe and create a monster to fight GUTS Select with.

Trigger will later be recruited as a member of the Ultra League and take part in the battle against The Kingdom
  • Given the fact that Absolute Diavolo will debut in the Trigger's world, along with Z and Ribut being guest stars in Trigger's own series, along with both Z and Ribut are billed as major characters in the upcoming miniseries, it's only a matter of time if Trigger will ended up being invited as a member of Ultra League to combat The Kingdom's threat. What matter most that at this point that the Land of Light is seemingly at the Kingdom's mercy due to the fact that Yullian is under their capture, and use her as a bargaining chip for the Absolutian race to inhabit the Land of Light as their new home.
