Parts of the map will be closed off at the start of the game, as in past GTA games before GTA V, but they will not be physically closed off as they were before.
Rather, it will be connected to the terms of Lucia's release from prison. The preview poster
◊ shows her wearing an ankle monitor, presumably as a condition of parole to keep track of her. With that, there's the possibility that Lucia leaving the bounds of a particular area could cause a wanted level. At some point, of course, the ankle monitor will come off, and Lucia will be free to roam the entire map. The trailer, after all, ends with a shot of her sticking up a store with Jason while wearing no such monitor.
In addition to Vice City, there will be at least one other major city.
Details from the trailer already indicate that there is a smaller city called Port Gellhorn, which the mapping project
on the GTAForums, using information from both the trailer and the leaked development videos, has deduced is located on the west coast of Leonida, serving as a loose analogue for Fort Myers or other cities in Southwest Florida. The shot of the highway, particularly a sign reading "Exit 14", also implied that a highway in the game would be at least 14 miles long, if the road follows the traditional exit numbering conventions for American highways (which the Los Santos freeways did in Grand Theft Auto V). The leak just before the trailer's release also said that there would be multiple large cities on the map. Furthermore, a common point of criticism about the map in GTA V was that, by having only one major city, much of the action in multiplayer was concentrated in one small part of the map where most of the missions and activities were. There is a good chance of there being a second city in the northern part of the map, based on Tampa and/or Orlando. Information from the trailer suggests that the map will stretch far to the north, where a second city could easily be. A second city would give players in the game's version of Grand Theft Auto Online reason to travel across the map for missions and activities instead of spending most of their time in Vice City. It would also allow for a different urban environment than Vice City's Miami pastiche, including such landmarks and attractions as Ybor City, the Sunshine Skyway Bridge, and parodies of Orlando's theme parks.
The blonde woman in the Flag Bikini at the mud pit party is an older Tracey De Santa.
Donald Love will return.
Donald Love is a Trumplica, who much like the real-life counterpart has a connection to New York and Florida. He hasn't been seen since Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories despite Grand Theft Auto IV taking place in Liberty City in the HD era. Grand Theft Auto VI would be the perfect time for his return.- High chance he could be president, it's the most obvious choice.
- If Donald Love reappears in the GTA series after more than a decade since the reset of the GTA series to the HD Universe, it is most likely to be a reinvention of the character, meaning his counterpart in the HD Universe.
- Alternatively, his appearance could be limited to mere Easter Eggs.
More of Tom Petty's music will play on the radio in game, or they'll use more of his songs in trailers.
Why not? There will be a Tom Petty inspired NPC in the game.
Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers will be NPCs in the game, or rather people who look like them. Jason is left handed and/or ambidextrous
In the first trailer and promotional art, he's seen handling his weapon in his left hand, unlike his partner, Lucia. It is unknown if this was done for framing purposes. Jason is a former Leonida Police Officer, who falls for Lucia
Unknown yet, possibly confirmed by the presence of his green/blue fatigues that are similiar to Leonide Police Officer uniforms, in addition to video feed of a police raid from the first trailer. Lucia is Claude and Catalina's daughter
She looks to be in her thirties, and Claude and Catalina have been together since 1992. She was conceived shortly after the events of San Andreas (maybe even during The Stinger for extra hilarity), but was put up for adoption after she was born. Jason will be the one who leaves the criminal life
If Game Theory's video is accurate I could see him leave the criminal life behind at the end of the game. What happens to Lucia will likely be up to the player's own interpretation. The other cities/towns that will have a play in GTA VI's Map will be based on the following.
- Vice City - Miami Metropolitan Area (Obviously)
- Port Gellhorn - Lee County Metropolitan Area (Fort Myers and Cape Coral)
- Unknown City - Tampa Bay Metropolitan Area (The Church of Scientology has a headquarters in Clearwater, alongside Tampa having an Air Force Base, which could be used as a military area in-game, also largest Metro in Western Florida)
- Unknown City - Orlando Metropolitan Area (Disney and Universal Studios, Michael de Santa could make a cameo here since there are film sites and studios that could be used if they brought him back, alongside expanding on what the Del Perro Pier started with a full theme park)
- Hamlet - Homestead (Could also be treated as a southern suburb of Vice City, similar to how Homestead isn't too far outside of the Miami Metro area)
- Unknown Town - Key West / Marathon (We already got visual of the keys, potential navy base since NAS Key West is nearby)
- Unknown Town - Cape Canaveral / Space Coast (Military presence, could have the GTA Version of the Space Force included, since a Space Force Base is located here)
- Unknown Town - Palm Beach (Could be treated as the furthest north suburb of Vice City, also presents the possibility of parodying Trump due to Mar a Lago being present, with a golf course not too far)
- Unknown Town - Belle Glade / Pahokee (On the shore of Lake Okeechobee)
There will be an achievement/trophy for getting eaten by an alligator
In a similar vein to the GTA V achievement for getting eaten by a shark.
