Doofus Drop is a mobile video game by Curious Labs released in 2016. In it, you play as a weird man named Doofus who rides his bike, hits an obstacle/ramp and rolls down a mountain. Along the way, obstacles may launch him in the air or stop him in his tracks, though Doofus can always fart if he has a can of beans for a speed boost. There are stars to collect which can be spent on upgrades.
This game provides examples of:
- Bribing Your Way to Victory: You can pay to unlock upgrades or stars.
- Button Mashing: To start the bike and make it hit the object/ramp fast, you need to mash the pedal button as fast as possible.
- Cartoon Bomb: Bombs of this type explode and boost Doofus's speed.
- Deliberately Monochrome: The game goes for a pencil-style monochrome aesthetic. The only exceptions are stars which are yellow and hats which can be different colors.
- Flaming Meteor: A meteor that's clearly on fire can fall on Doofus to send him flying.
- Made of Iron: Doofus himself. He falls down a very large mountain, hits all kinds of obstacles, and yet he ends up without even getting a scratch. Even if he gets impaled by a spike or fork, he can keep going after a fart.
- Money Multiplier: Star Grinder doubles each star collected. Super Star Grinder triples it.
- Not-Actually-Cosmetic Award: Each achievement earned gives a small star bonus.
- Overly-Long Tongue: Doofus has a tongue that's about half the length of his body. It's also always sticking out.
- Play Every Day: Every day you come back to the game, you are given a free gift like a hat.
- Spikes of Doom: Spikes and forks are a common hazard. If Doofus gets impaled on one, he will be unable to move unless he uses beans.
- Zonk: The Wheel of Fortune may land on a skull space which turns Doofus into one and ends the run.
