• Acting for Two: Most of the show's actors end up voicing two or even three characters apiece, possibly owing to the sheer size of the cast (18 regular characters in the main class alone!).
• Cross-Dressing Voices: Most of the boys in the Earth Defense Class, including all three of Raijin-Oh's pilots, are voiced by women.
• The Other Darrin:
  • Two examples in the Super Robot Wars series:
    • Asuka, originally voiced by Rie Iwatsuba, is voiced by Yuki Kaida.
    • The Big Bad, Warza, originally voiced by the late Shigezou Sasaoka, is voiced by Ryūzaburō Ōtomo.
  • Within the series itself, Mahito Tsujimura replaces You Yoshimura as Taida and the Akudama starting in episode 39, following Yoshimura's death.
• Promoted Fanboy: The majority of the English cast is made up of anime fans with almost no professional experience (the Alcohol Monster in episode 7 is voiced by Curtis Arnott, better known as Takahata101, of Hellsing Ultimate Abridged and Ghost Nappa fame), many of whom only auditioned on a whim.
• Unfinished Dub: The Anime Midstream dub only covers the first half of the series. The "season two" set (episodes 26-51) was subtitle-only.
• The series made its Super Robot Wars debut in Super Robot Wars GC/XO, and later appeared in NEO, OE and BX. In both NEO and OE, it's joined by the other three Eldoran teams, while in BX, it teams up with GaoGaiGar.
