Trivia / Your Turn to Die

• Fandom Life Cycle: Stage 2. the fandom is fairly large on its own. There’s also a fair amount of fan-material and discussion.
• Fan Works: A Fan Game called Your Turn to Die: Death Warrant by Chance has been given permission by Nankidai to be developed.
• Foiler Footage: The Prize Exchange is introduced in Chapter 2. Despite this, everyone who dies in Chapter 1 has Prize Exchange icons in the game files.
• Troubled Production: While the previous chapters were produced without any significant problems, the second section of Chapter 3, Part One was affected by both Nankidai coming down with a hernia as well as a hard drive failure that forced him to start over from scratch. Nankidai predicted that it would have been released a few weeks after the first section. It actually came out over a year later.
• What Could Have Been:
  • An early build shows that Kanna was initially meant to have a more mature character design, which was eventually reused for her deceased older sister Kugie.
  • Alice was originally envisioned as a female character, before being changed to male for being too similar in both character and role to Sou. Interestingly, beta!Alice's silhouette is still on the save/load screen's group shot.
  • A character called Botsun was going to be the floor master of Chapter 2 before being scrapped.
  • A deleted scene would have given you a proper option at the end of Chapter 2 to vote for Keiji. In this case, Sue Miley would appear and order Sara and Nao to recast their votes; this effectively places the choice of who to kill squarely on Nao's shoulders, since she is the Sacrifice and gets two votes.
