• Acting for Two:
  • In Chinese, many actors have two, three or even four roles.
  • Happens rarely in the Japanese dub due to its having a larger cast; a few actors have two roles (Hiroki Takahashi, Yūsuke Kobayashi, Jun'ichi Suwabe among others) and one has three (Takuya Sato).
  • In English, this happens quite often:
    • Griffin Puatu voices Gold Chicken Shred, Taibai Duck, and Candied Ginkgo Nut.
    • Michael Zekas voices Dezhou Chicken, Eight Immortals, and Geely Shrimp.
    • Josh Putnam voices Dinghu's Veggie and Cabbage Blossom.
    • Sean Chiplock voices Yipin Pot, Cured Meat Platter, and Longjing Shrimp.
    • Reece Bridger voices Sichuan Hotpot and Peking Duck.
    • Andre Faris voices Hu-Geng and Harbin Fried Pork.
• All-Star Cast: For both the original voice track and the Japanese dub.
• Cross-Dressing Voices: Food spirits who look younger and sound higher-pitched are often voiced by women.
• No Export for You: Downplayed. The game did get a Japanese server, which was mostly the same as other servers except for the absence of two Food Spirits: Cabbage Blossom and Farewell My Concubine. They still appeared in the game as enemies, just not playable.
• Playing Against Type:
  • Lóngjǐng Shrimp in the Japanese dub is voiced by the polite, soft-spoken... Kenjiro Tsuda. This has gotten Questionable Casting complaints from the Chinese fandom for making him sound too old.
  • Swallow Bun's low, depressing voice in the dub is provided by Daiki Yamashita.
• Real-Life Relative: Dish of Prosperity’s Chinese voice actor, Zizi, is the son of Ah Jie - Buddha’s Temptation’s Chinese voice actor. This is referenced in the game as Dish of Prosperity sees Buddha’s Temptation as his adoptive father.
• Uncredited Role: English voice actors are not credited in-game.
