- California Doubling: Ironically, the whole picture was filmed in England instead of France for various reasons ranging from the age of the main cast to COVID safety and Brexit-induced issues. Some of those same issues prevented Michael Caine from appearing in Oppenheimer.
- Dueling Works: With The Last Rifleman, which has a very similar premise (it's inspired by the same story, albeit uses a fictional character) and stars Pierce Brosnan.
- International Coproduction: The film is a British-French coproduction, with Pathé on the French side.
- No Export for You: Despite being a British-French coproduction (by Pathé) and featuring the D-Day landings in France and their commemorations, the film was not released in France. So far it doesn't have either streaming, VOD or home video availability there.
- Posthumous Credit: The film marks the final role of Glenda Jackson, who passed away on June 15, 2023. It was released on October 6, 2023.
- Those Two Actors: Michael Caine and Glenda Jackson were the leads in a film released 48 years prior to this one, 1975's The Romantic Englishwoman.
- Typecasting: Wolf Kahler as a German soldier, though this time it's an old (and shell-shocked) veteran one having cordial talk with a former enemy 70 years after D-Day. It's also the second time he and Michael Caine play in a World War II-related film after The Eagle Has Landed.
