  • Black Sheep Hit: "Bout ta' Bubble".
  • Development Hell: Went through this in the year 1997 when signed to Warner Music Group, mostly because of his image and lyrical content that deemed his music "witch shit", "warlock shit" or "devil worship". He was recording an album called Be Warned to be released around 1997 or 1998. WMG ended up shelving said album because of concerns with its subject matter.
  • Fan Community Nickname: Techn9cians.
  • No-Hit Wonder: Has become one of the most respected and well-known figures in hip-hop despite none of his singles charting on the Hot 100 until "Hood Go Crazy" with 2 Chainz and BoB.
  • What Could Have Been:
    • K.O.D. was supposed to have Serj Tankian from System of a Down and Corey Taylor from Slipknot contributing guest vocals. Taylor nearly made it on the album, but schedule conflicts and a rush to get the album out led Tech to record the song "Killing You" without Taylor singing, although it had previously been confirmed that he would appear on the album.
    • Serj Tankian would later collaborate with Tech on the track "Straight Out The Gate" from Something Else, and Corey Taylor would appear on "Wither" from Special Effects.
    • Tech had tried to work with Eminem several times between "The Anthem" and "Speedom (WWC2)", specifically on the songs "She Devil", "My World", and "So Lonely", but for reasons varying from personal to business, it never happened until then.
    • While recording Special Effects, Tech wanted to use the Halloween theme again for "Psycho Bitch III", as it would have been fitting for the conclusion of the "Psycho Bitch" series. However, Malek Akkad, the current owner of the song, wanted $50,000 for the use of the song.note  Tech felt this deal was unfair, so despite wanting to use the sample and having the necessary funds, he refused the deal.
    • "We Just Wanna Party" was originally intended to be on Special Effects, and feature ScHoolboy Q and The Weeknd. Because they were too busy, it ended up being put on Strangeulation Vol. II with features from Rittz and Darrein Safron, instead.
    • "In The Air" from Sickology 101 and "That's My Kid" from Something Else were originally supposed to feature Jay-Z, but he ultimately ended up being unable to record for them.
    • Tech wanted Nas to feature on "Burn The World" from Something Else, but Nas sent the song back to Tech due to him thinking the song was too personal for him.
