Trivia / Star Ocean: Anamnesis

• Bad Export for You: The Global version. Ever since the Anniversary of the localization, there hadn't been any news of new upcoming events or the announcement of the second chapter aside reruns. With no significant changes after the update in the last week of July, the majority of players reacted negatively to meaningless minor update and poor communication from the localization team that they all feared the worse that the Global server may be shutting down... which was confirmed to be true with the announcement of the Global Server shutting down in November 2019.
• The Other Darrin: The English dub for all returning characters from previous games are all changed, mainly due to using a UK-based talent pool of actors, as opposed to an LA-based one. Some characters, like Farleen, benefits on this, since her original voice acting was considered to be infamously ear-grating bad. (The loss of the LA cast of Last Hope is usually lamented, though.) The Japanese version usually averts this, though it will be inevitable in case Square decides to put in Adray Lasbard.
• Playing Against Type: Coro is voiced by Ryūsei Nakao. Yep, Frieza is your assistant! However, this is downplayed a bit since this is an area that Nakao is experienced with, just not his most prominent one. Just try to imagine you're being assisted by a robotic Buster Bunny.
• Role Reprise: Aside of the Japanese cast, Kira Buckland, Kyle McCarley and Cherami Leigh still came back to reprise 2B, 9S and A2. Downplayed in that their characters use audio from their home game and not new lines.
• Screwed by the Network: The global version, having been shut down after seeing repetitive Late Export for You instances with the episodes and poor communication.
