  • The Danza:
    • Rob Schneider as Rob Hillard.
    • Nick Hilliard, played by Nick Swardson.
    • Officer Dante, played by Peter Dante.
  • Saved from Development Hell: Originally conceived in the 1990s as a vehicle for the "Bad Boys of SNL," it was put on hold when Chris Farley died suddenly of a drug overdose.
  • Screwed by the Lawyers: The reason why a third film has not been produced is that Sony Pictures still owns the franchise rights even with Happy Madison Productions being in an exclusive distribution deal with Netflix.
  • Vacation, Dear Boy: By and large, general consensus is that this movie (and especially its sequel) exist so that Sandler can film hanging out with his friends and doing fun, outdoorsy activities like going to a water park or playing basketball.
  • What Could Have Been:
    • As mentioned above, Chris Farley was meant to be in the film. After his death, the movie was put on hold, and over a decade later, it was finally made with Kevin James in the role meant for him.
    • Sony's executives were not enthusiastic about Salma Hayek's casting and had a meeting with Adam Sandler where they suggested he seek a "less ethnic" actress for her role. Sandler refused and warned them to never bring up the subject again.
    • The "I wanna get chocolate wasted" line was originally meant to be said by Keithie instead of Becky. After a few takes, Adam Sandler asked Cameron Boyce if they could do a take with Alexys Nycole Sanchez saying the line. Boyce agreed to the change, but Sandler later claimed during an interview on The Tonight Show that Boyce wound up regretting it when Sanchez won the 2011 MTV Movie Award for Best Line.
