• Acting for Two: Haruka Tomatsu voices twin sisters Teronna and Rubina.
• Channel Hop: The original Grendizer series aired on Fuji TV along with its predecessors, this series however airs on TV Tokyo (who previously aired another Mazinger show, Shin Mazinger back in 2009)
• Development Gag: Sayaka appearing in this series comes to mind of how Go Nagai originally wanted her to appear in the original UFO Robo Grendizer series.
• The Other Darrin: Unsurprisingly for a re-imagining of an anime from almost half a century ago, all of the characters have been recast with new voice actors. Both Koji and Sayaka also have new voice actors instead of the ones from any previous Mazinger Z installments.
• You Sound Familiar: Sumire Uesaka, Sayaka Yumi's new voice actress, previously voiced Lisa in Mazinger Z: Infinity.
