• Unexpected Character: Grendizer and Mazinger fans were greatly surprised that Sayaka Yumi, who was Put on a Bus and not used in the original series, was showing up here, though with an Adaptational Dye-Job. They were even more surprised when it was revealed that Mazinger Z was showing up, something that many fans of the original was bummed out about not showing up. In addition, Mazinger Z sports a design much closer to its original manga appearance compared to other animated adaptations.
