  • Dawson Casting:
    • In general most of the teenage characters' actors were in their 20s with the exception of Navia Robinson, who was younger than 18.
    • Anna Lore, playing the teenage Stephanie Brown, was around 29 when production started, only 15 years younger than Ethan Embry who plays her father.
  • Fake American:
    • Oscar Morgan, who plays Turner Hayes, is English.
    • Rahart Adams, who plays Brody March, is Australian.
  • Queer Character, Queer Actor:
    • Cullen Row is a trans man, the same as actor Tyler Di Chiara.
    • Anna Lore's bisexual, and plays Stephanie, who comes out as a lesbian.
  • Quietly Cancelled: It was cancelled due to low ratings and the sale of The CW to Nexstar, heralding the cancellation of many of the channel's scripted shows, including all DC Comics properties except Superman & Lois, which received a reduced episode count and cast for its final season.
  • Real-Life Relative: Stephanie's parents, Arthur and Crystal Brown, are played by real-life husband and wife Ethan Embry and Sunny Mabrey.
  • Throw It In!: In "Daddy Issues", the scene with Cullen working out shirtless was written in because Tyler DiChiara wanted to show off his top-surgery scars.
  • What Could Have Been: Jensen Ackles, Misha Collins's co-star from Supernatural, was originally going to cameo as Bruce Wayne (a role he also voices in the Tomorrowverse), but it couldn't fit into his schedule with his work on Big Sky and The Winchesters.
  • Write What You Know: Much of Stephanie's character arc in season 1, including dealing with her drug-addicted mother and realizing that she isn't romantically attracted to her boyfriend, was inspired by creator Natalie Abram's own experiences growing up with an alcoholic parent and struggling with her sexuality (it helps that the former part is actually a part of comics Stephanie's background as well).
