Trivia / Da Boom Crew

  • Celebrity Voice Actor: Two of the voice actors for this show are Morris Day and Jerome Benton from The Time. Wanda Sykes was also involved.
  • Cowboy BeBop at His Computer: The Other Wiki claims the show to have been a Canadian-American production. While the show did uses Canadian voice actors, the main production process was confined mostly to the United States and Germany.
  • Creator Backlash: It can be assured Bruce W. Smith would like to forget about Da Boom Crew, which had been largely considered to be one of the worst cartoons of the 2000s and got cancelled after 13 episodes were made, only 4 of which were aired on television. After the series' failure, Smith's animation studio Jambalaya Studios would end up fizzling away, resulting in him doing work for other projects until his more successful series, The Proud Family, would be ordered for a reboot in 2022. This is especially evident since Smith never brings up the show.
  • Creator Killer: This show is why you don't see any more productions from Jambalaya Studios. Founder and showrunner Bruce W. Smith would return to freelancing for several years, until contracted by Disney to produce a full-fledged revival of The Proud Family for Disney+.
  • International Coproduction: Between Jambalaya Studios in the United States and Berliner Film Companie in Germany.
  • Screwed by the Network: Only 4 episodes of the series aired on Kids' WB! during September 2004 before its broadcast was cut; the remaining 9 would not see the airwaves until the following year when Cartoon Network UK picked up the series.
