A 2005 Spanish series that follows a group of cops who are clumsy but good-hearted as they deal with funny cases in a fictional neighborhood in Madrid.

The shows stars Paco Tous, Pepon Nieto, Juan Diego, Marian Aguilera, Michelle Jenner, and Cristina Plazas.

It originally aired from 2005 to 2010 and returned in 2021.

Tropes for the series:

  • Bullet Holes and Revelations: Played with when Sara and Alison are struggling for a gun while Sara's relatives look on from a live camera feed via computer. The camera cuts to them as two gunshots ring out from the computer, and it's unclear who, if anyone is injured. It is later seen that Alison is alive, but shot in the shoulder. For the next twenty minutes it is unclear if Sara is alive or dead, but all seems to be fine when she shows up for her elopement with Lucas. Until halfway through the ceremony, when it's revealed that she's been shot in the stomach. She toughs it out in order to finish the wedding, but then collapses after the priest pronounces them man and wife.
  • Cerebus Syndrome: And how. The show started as a straight comedy making fun of the incompetence of Paco's team; by the end season, characters were dying here and there. Even the color of the scenes and filming style changed!
  • Died in Your Arms Tonight:
    • After getting gut-shot on her wedding day, Silvia spends the rest of the two-hour season finale until she finally dies in the arms of her new wife and her father.
    • Kiki died in Paco's arms and Rita was in Montoya's arms when he died. There wasn't anything the rest of the team could do except sing to the ones dying because cell phone service was cut off by the ones shooting the people at the wedding.
  • Double In-Law Marriage: Played with. Paco and Pepa are brother and sister and Silvia and Lola are sisters. Paco and Lola were married but got divorced before Pepa and Silvia got married later on in the series.
  • Exact Eavesdropping: Happens very, very frequently. There are way too many examples to list from the show.
  • Intertwined Fingers: Pepa and Silvia usually intertwine their fingers when Holding Hands.
  • Ms. Fanservice: Years later after the show ended, Michelle Jenner (who played Paco's daughter) commented jokingly she used to take out the trash on her panties in every single episode.
  • Pervy Patdown: Pepa does this to Silvia after the two have a misunderstanding; while Silvia loads up the car, Pepa "arrests" her on the grounds of neglecting and ignoring her, and submits her to a frisk, which includes caressing Silvia's upper arms, rubbing and fondling her as well, leading to a brief make-up make-out session.
  • Retroactive Recognition: Zig-zagged. This was the on-screen acting gig that made Michelle Jenner (who played Paco's daughter) really famous and led to her starring in Historical drama Isabel; but she was already somewhat famous for giving voice to Hermione Granger in the Spanish translation of the films.
  • They Wasted a Perfectly Good Sandwich: In one episode, after Curtis interrupts lunch between Pepa and Silvia by deciding to sit down with them subsequently ordering salad, takes one forkful of it, eats it then dabs his mouth with the paper towel and leaves saying his piece to the two women. Bonus points for having the nerve to recommend it and presumably leaving them with the bill!
