• A 2021 Pugad Baboy comic strip poked fun at how Suzette Doctolero, who was infamous for writing melodramatic Philippine Telenovelas, is head writer for Voltes V: Legacy^note which might lead to the show becoming about Voltes V In Name Only and indulging in more stereotypical Filipino Soap Opera tropes.
  • Tarantadong Kalbo posts his own take about Pugad Baboy joking about Suzette Doctolero's involvement in Voltes V: Legacy^note with a satirical comic strip showing Voltes V acting like a typical Telenovela or soap opera character, complete with slaps and cries of, "How dare you!" at Polgas (representing Pol Medina Jr.), claiming he's a has-been comic artist.

• In Episode 36 of The Missing Husband^note (a show directed by Mark Reyes), when a captive Anton sarcastically tells Brendan that he hid his money in the hands of "Zuhl of Boazania", Brendan responds by putting him under Electric Torture as he states that he too is a fan of Voltes V and cheekily shouts, "LET'S VOLT-IN!"
• On November 2023, the Voltes V: Legacy version of Voltes V is displayed in fully detailed robot model form at the Bandai Tamashii Nations Exhibit in Japan.
