- The Cooper family discusses their new sleeping situation: Georgie, Mandy, & CeeCee in Sheldon's room, Connie in Mary & George's room, and George Sr. in the garage. George initially protests, but quickly gives in.
- Mary calls to re-book her & Sheldon's tickets home, and Sheldon disconnects the phone in protest. Sheldon tells Mary to call and ask the family if they want Sheldon & Mary to come home. Connie says no (as there is nowhere to sleep), but Mary doesn't want to hear it.

- Control Freak: When George reveals about the tornado, Mary decides they must get back home, leading to her and Sheldon to butt heads. When Sheldon demands to call home and Connie tells her there’s no room at home, Mary uses Blatant Lies to try and convince Sheldon that they're needed.
- Dude, Not Funny!: Poor Dale angers Connie with his jokes, which he admits would be funnier... if he told them a few years later down the road.
- A Fool and His New Money Are Soon Parted: Pastor Jeff's wife discovers a baggie holding some of Connie's earnings ($1200). Pastor Jeff really wants her to return it to Connie, having told her about the illegal gambling, but his wife is more than certain that them getting this money and Connie's house getting wrecked is a sign from God and she ends up getting them a big-screen TV. However, the guilt ultimately gets to Jeff and he ends up giving the TV to George without telling him how he got it.
- Full-Name Ultimatum: Mary does this to Sheldon after he disconnects the phone while she is using it.
- Parental Sexuality Squick: Georgie suggests having him & Mandy sleep in Mary & George's room (as opposed to Sheldon's room), as the bed is bigger. George Sr. then points out that Georgie was conceived in that bed.
- Trash the Set: The episode begins immediately after Connie’s house is found. The episode justifies its abandonment by revealing that her insurance doesn’t cover it.
- Vomit Chain Reaction: Mary throws up, and then Sheldon starts throwing up, after giving a bunch of fun facts about sympathetic vomiting.
- Vomit Discretion Shot: Mary after having a hangover. Sheldon, grossed out by this, throws up as well.
