Tropes
- All Just a Dream: Lucky for Gabrielle, the entire journey was just a dream.
- Attack Reflector: Every attack Discord throws at Aphrodite is easily deflected.
- The Blade Always Lands Pointy End In: After Hager comes home and crassly states that he wishes he could do nothing all day like Gabrielle while she's busy making dinner, she responds by hurling a knife at him which embeds itself in the wall right next to his head.
- Flipping the Bird: After handling everything Crabella and Sturgina throw at her, Gabrielle gives them the finger, which is conveniently covered in a profanity box.
- Groin Attack: Discord tries to accuse Aphrodite of doing this to the pirate she has stuck in a lovesick daze, but she gets cut off before she can complete the thought.
- Memory Wipe Exploitation: After finding out Gabrielle has amnesia, Hager convinces her that she's his wife, Crustacea, because he needs the image of a stable family to have a chance at winning an upcoming election. He even drugs her with a memory-erasing "medicine" to keep her real memories from coming back.
- Our Mermaids Are Different: Gabrielle, who has turned into the Splash version of mermaids.
- Random Species Offspring: Somehow, two merpeople managed to have kids that are a humanoid seal, a humanoid sea urchin and a human-faced squid...thing.
- Sleeps in the Nude: Hager tries to convince Gabrielle that she normally sleeps naked after she complains about the sheer nightie she's stuck wearing. She doesn't buy it for a second.
- Tap on the Head: Gabrielle gets hit on the head by a pulley and drops into the water unconscious.
- Threatening Shark: When Gabrielle is hung upside down from a snare and taken underwater, she sees a shark close by. Thankfully, she gets out in time.
- Tough Love: Gabrielle manages to get her kids in line once she establishes that she won't take their pranks lying down.
- With Friends Like These...: Crabella and Sturgina are supposed to be Crustacea's best friends, but their ultimate goal is to get Crustacea to dump Hager so that they can have him for themselves.
