"Crab Quakes": The wombats must investigate what scared the crab family.
"Crab Quakes" contains the following tropes:
- Agent Mulder: Zadie and Zeke believe that a dragon made the weird and scary sound. As it turns out, they were technically right: the thing that made the scary sound was a wind-up dragon toy. Mr. E was shipping it to the Everything Emporium at the same time that the crabs were sleeping, and it's why neither of them got much sleep.
- Agent Scully: Malik keeps asserting that there's no dragon.
- "Everybody Laughs" Ending: At the end of the episode, everyone gets scared by another scary sound. The sound was actually just a cactus popping a ball, and when everyone finds out, they laugh as the episode fades to black.
- Fell Asleep Standing Up: Mr. E was asleep while at his stand, standing up, and he's later shown asleep at the counter.
- Holding Hands: While they're hiding in Super's couch, Kit asks Kat to hold his claw.
- Instant Expert: Super creates a detailed sand sculpture on her first try.
- Mystery Episode: This episode revolves around the wombats solving the mystery of the scary sound. They even put on detective outfits.
- Plot Hole: The crabs say that the sound came from outside and Malik writes this down. The wombats continue to check indoors for the sound. Usually, a plot point of the episodes is that a step or detail is forgotten, and needs to be remembered for the problem to be solved (or 'debugged'). This forgotten detail is never pointed out.
- Sacred Hospitality: Super proves herself to be a warm and welcoming host, letting the crabs stay in her house and encouraging them to make themselves at home. She doesn't even mind that the crabs poured a bunch of sand into the house.
- Screw This, I'm Outta Here: At the start of the episode, the crabs all run away after they hear something scary in their house.
- Sleep Deprivation: Mr. E was asleep at his stand because he didn't get enough sleep the previous night. And as it turns out, the crabs didn't get much sleep either.
- Talking in Your Sleep: While asleep at his stand, Mr. E mutters "price check on garbanzo beans."
- Understatement: Super says that there's not much on her to-do list, then reveals a fairly lengthy list of things she has to do.
- Waking Non Sequitur: Mr. E is asleep at the counter of the Everything Emporium, and when he's woken up, he says "Clean up on aisle 2?"
"Hopping Helpers": The wombats try to help everyone.
"Hopping Helpers" contains the following tropes:
- Blind Without 'Em: Gabriela can't read without her glasses.
- Blow That Horn: While the Hopping Helpers make an announcement on the intercom, Malik blows a loud horn. He blows it again when the Hopping Helpers go to the Sow N' Grow.
- Bread, Eggs, Breaded Eggs: After the wombats help Kat and Kit, Malik says that he liked the helping, Zadie says she liked the hopping, and Zeke says he liked the hopping and the helping.
- Good Feels Good: The wombats felt good after they helped Gabriela, so they decide to become the Hopping Helpers and help everyone.
- Running Gag: Malik blowing a horn and scaring people.
