That episode where Mordecai hijacks his friend's wedding to fail at dating relationships.
Muscle Man's wedding day has arrived but in the midst of preparations, Mordecai, C.J and Margaret are still dealing with the fallout of Margaret's confession. Adding to the stress, Muscle Man refuses to go through with the wedding without his father's wedding day letter to him and Mordecai once again fumbles in his attempts to admit his true feelings for CJ.

The episode has the following examples:

  • Ambiguous Situation: It’s initially unclear as to if Mordecai was trying to confess his love to CJ or was trying to break up with her. However Rigby's comment later on suggests the latter:
Rigby: So, when I said "go with your gut", did you hear "completely lose your mind and try to dump your girlfriend at a wedding?"
  • Anchored Ship: CJ cuts Mordecai off before he is able to finish his speech during Muscle Man's wedding, and later after Rigby sees the two of them saying goodbye amicably, Mordecai tells him they’re taking a break for a while.
  • Bittersweet Ending: Mordecai and Rigby managed to find the letter from Muscle Dad and help Muscle Man get through his wedding, and Rigby and Eileen are revealed to have been happily dating for the last couple of months. However, Mordecai, being inspired by Muscle Dad's words, tries revealing his feelings to CJ, presumably to dump her, but she cuts him off, is also hurt by the fact he said he didn’t know who his soulmate was, and runs out. They are later seen (unheard) talking it out and saying goodbye amicably; they decide to "go on a break" for a bit.
  • The Cameo: Quite a few minor and recurring characters can be seen in attendance of the wedding; Thomas (who is in disguise due to still being on the run from the CIA and KGB), Death, Celia, Reggie, and Quips.
  • Continuity Nod:
  • Crazy-Prepared: Skips knew Muscle Man would get so emotional he would break the ice sculpture centerpiece, so he made a spare. And Benson has to stop Muscle Man from breaking that one too.
  • Dead Man Writing: Muscle Dad left Muscle Man a letter to open on his wedding day.
  • Jaw Drop: By Mordecai when he learns about Rigby and Eileen.
  • Never Trust a Title: The title suggests that either Muscle Man or Starla would leave the wedding. Turns out it was Mordecai who disrupts the wedding and CJ is the one who leaves (with CJ breaking things off with Mordecai); Muscle Man and Starla end up married after all.
  • Official Couple: Rigby and Eileen are now officially dating — in fact, they had been for several months.
  • Poor Communication Kills: Again, CJ assumes the worst before Mordecai can finish his speech and runs out.
  • Running Gag: Benson's car getting wrecked again. This time by a turducken shooting out of a deep fryer and landing on it.
  • Skewed Priorities: Muscle Man is annoyed at Mordecai for hijacking his wedding mainly because it's delaying when he can start up the fryers after.
  • Ship Sinking: The episode ends with CJ and Mordecai deciding to "take a break" and the next episode has Rigby tell Mordecai to stop dating for a while so he can focus on himself. The finale shows that Mordecai does not end up with her or Margaret in the future, rather a bat woman named Stef, and Word of God would confirm he and CJ never reconciled.
  • Voiceover Letter: While Mordecai reads Muscle Dad's letter, most of it is Muscle Dad's voiceover, with a flashback of him writing it.
  • Wham Episode:
    • Muscle Man and Starla finally get married.
    • Rigby reveals Eileen and he have been dating for awhile without Mordecai realizing it.
    • Mordecai and CJ break up.
  • What the Hell, Hero?: Muscle Man calls Mordecai out for interrupting the wedding just to reveal his feelings to CJ. Rigby likewise chides him for the bad timing as well. And judging by the guests' angry facial expressions (yes, including Benson and Mr. Maellard), they don't approve of Mordecai interrupting the wedding also.
