Peg and Cat are on a stereotypical tropical island planning to have a picnic and singing their actions. They have brought four sandwiches even though there's only two of them and Peg divides them between them. She then notices a piece of paper blowing in the wind.

Initially, Cat doesn't care, but becomes interested when Peg thinks it looks like a piece of treasure map. According to the piece of map, you must go eight steps to a rock to find the treasure. However, there are many rocks on the island, so they'll need to reassemble the map.

Another piece of map floats by Viv's house, where she and Connie are gardening on Viv's front lawn. Also wanting to find treasure, the Neighbour Ladies decide to search as well. Then, another piece lands by the Teens, who also go off to search for treasure. Another piece is found by Mrs. Sheep and Baby Fox, although they don't intelligibly comment on it.

The Dragon and Toad find another piece of map, so the latter goes to look for treasure, bringing the former along to help carry it. Another bit of the map finds its way into space, where Richard finds it and leaves to go to Earth.

Back on the island, Peg and Cat are searching and have found neither any more scraps of map nor any treasure. Cat starts to grumble about how his muscles hurt, but Peg tells him to be quiet lest people hear him and try to steal the treasure. Meanwhile, the Neighbour Ladies are now on the island unnoticed.

The Teens have also gotten onto the island and are behind a giant plum, and the Dragon is up a tree, while Mrs. Sheep and Baby Fox are under a bench. Cat goes to sit on the bench and Peg tries to pick some fruit but mistakes the Dragon's tail for one of the fruit. Baby Fox then blows a raspberry, confusing Peg, and Richard shows up on top of a totem pole, which our protagonists mistake for part of it.

Then, Peg, holding Cat, gets tangled in a vine and pulled upwards, Richard grabs hold of Cat's back paws, they fall back down and see the Dragon and Toad also tangled in vines, everybody lands on the bench and bounces off of it, launching Mrs. Sheep and Baby Fox into the air. They land on the giant plum and it rolls and knocks everyone, including the Teens, into the air, and they land stacked on top of one another on top of a statue which the Neighbour Ladies were sitting on.

Everyone explains, still singing, what is going on. While everyone climbs off one another, Peg thinks of a solution: team up. They reassemble the map, with the help of Ramone and Pig who conveniently show up on a boat, then set off in search of treasure.

They find the treasure, which is a box containing 24 lumps of gold. Toad wants to keep 23 of them and have the rest share one, but Peg is not on board with that and shares them evenly between them. However, then the Pirates show up, crying. It turns out that the treasure is theirs, but the others aren't ready to give it up and render their search pointless. They all "totally freak out", except for Cat, so they all count backwards.

Peg hears Cat singing and has an idea: get the Pirates to sing, then they'll pay with the gold. The Pirates sing a song about their friendship and devotion to one another.

This episode provides examples of

  • Accessory-Wearing Cartoon Animal: This is one of the episodes where Pig wears sunglasses (in addition to Baby Fox, who wears his bandanna and diaper, and Parrot, who wears a pirate hat).
  • Agony of the Feet: Discussed when Cat says that walking all over the island would hurt his feet. Later, his feet do get sore.
  • Borrowed Catchphrase:
    • Because this episode has a lot of Peg and Cat singing in unison, he says the "big problem" lines along with her.
    • Many non-Peg characters say, "We are totally freaking out" along with her.
  • Dramatic Irony:
    • When Cat thinks he hears clicking sounds, Peg says, "Your ears are playing tricks", when we all know that it's the Teens' cell phones.
    • Peg thinks a fruit keeps moving, when we know it's the Dragon's tail.
    • Peg wonders if Cat made a rude noise, and he's concerned he may have unknowingly farted, when we know it was Baby Fox blowing a raspberry.
    • Peg and Cat comment on the "top part of the totem pole" resembling Richard, when we know that he is Richard.
  • Friendship Song: The pirates' song is about their friendship and loyalty to one another.
  • Giant Food: A giant plum is on the island.
  • Immune to Slapstick: When everybody discovers each other, the Neighbour Ladies are the only ones not to fall, get tangled up, or get launched into the air.
  • Magic Skirt: When Peg gets pulled upwards upside down, her dress stays in place.
  • Mistaken for Flatulence: Baby Fox blows a raspberry. Peg asks Cat if that was him, and he says it wasn't, but he briefly wonders if he unknowingly farted.
  • Nobody Here but Us Statues: Richard appears to be pretending to be part of the totem pole when he shows up on the island, using sticks as antlers.
  • Speak in Unison: There's a lot of singing in unison, but also the crowd says the "Cat's right... count backwards from five" line in unison.
  • Speaks Fluent Animal: Apparently, Cat speaks Sheep.
  • Suddenly Fluent in Gibberish: Cat is somehow able to translate for Mrs. Sheep.
  • Temporarily Exaggerated Trait: Peg is a Large Ham, but in this episode, she sings everything she does, and so does everybody else.
  • Toilet Humour: When Peg hears Baby Fox blow a raspberry, she asks Cat if he made the noise. He says that he doesn't think so, but if he did, he probably farted, so he says, "Excuse me".
