K.O. takes part in Lakewood Plaza Turbo's annual Plazalympics competition.

Tropes:

  • The Burlesque of Venus: Raymond poses this way when he reveals himself from his rose.
  • Carnivore Confusion: Drupe is appalled when the third place prize is a basket of fruit that consists of only strawberries and becomes nauseous when Brandon eats one of the strawberries in front of her.
  • Go-Karting with Bowser:
    • Vormulax is one of the Plazalympics judges, despite being a villain.
    • When Darrell, Shannon, and Raymond crash the competition and demand to participate in the final event, Gar happily allows them to participate since there "ain't no rule in the rulebook that said three evil robots can't be in the Plazalympics". During the competition, they actually follow the rules (what rules there are) and didn't try to sabotage their competitors.
  • Golden Snitch: The relay race at the Plazalympics is worth far more points than every other event combined—which causes the two leading teams the robots injured while making their entrance to lose.
  • Graceful Loser: Even though Darrell, Shannon, and Raymond lost the final event and complained that they were robbed of their win, Gar gives them each a participation trophy, which they happily accept and leave the plaza without any complaint.
  • Hypocrite: The robots complain (briefly) that Colewort should have been disqualified from the relay race because he used a jet instead of running, but that's exactly how Darrell raced as well.
  • It May Help You on Your Quest: The Key to the Plaza, which Colewort won in this episode, turns out to to be the key to Plazamo in "Dark Plaza".
  • Loophole Abuse: Because there's no specific rule against either, Gar allows both the Boxmore robots to join the Plazalympics at the last second and for Colewort to win a race via steam jet.
  • Potty Emergency: Thinking of all the fountains around the Key to the Plaza makes K.O. want to pee, so he leaves to the bathroom. That means he's not there when Mr. Gar is picking teams, so Enid and Rad end up with Mega Football Baby. When K.O. returns, he's paired up with Potato and Colewort.
  • Shout-Out:
    • K.O.'s slow-motion run to a piano theme at the beginning is similar to Chariots of Fire.
    • Dynamite Watkins' narration and way the team intros are animated are a reference to Laff-A-Lympics.
    • When Darrell passes Potato during the Plaza Relay, he says "Meep Meep" like the Road Runner.
  • Throw the Dog a Bone:
  • Took a Level in Badass: K.O. manages to completely shatter his boulder.
  • Who Writes This Crap?!: Dynamite Watkins asks who wrote her introduction, which made her sound like Snagglepuss.
