"Sea Lion Crooks and Halibut Hooks":note  While fishing, Molly and Cousin Randall encounter a sea lion with a strange word written on its back.

"Sea Lion Crooks and Halibut Hooks" contains the following tropes:

  • The Alleged Car: Old Betsy is highly prone to breaking down or "taking a nap," as Randall calls it, at the worst possible times. Randall still insists she's reliable.
  • All There in the Script: The subtitles and credits reveal that the scientist Molly and Tooey speak to about Glog is called Latoya.
  • Good Luck Charm: Randall tells Molly that his favorite halibut hook has always brought him luck—before Glog stole it. When he finds the hook again, his faith in the hook's luck is restored.
  • Imagine Spot: The episode opens with Molly imagining riding on an orca. The scene then cuts to Randall's boat sputtering to a halt.
  • Misplaced Wildlife: Molly and Randall realize the California sea lion they've nicknamed Glog is not supposed to be in Alaska waters. One of the scientists tracking him explains that he's been spotted moving well north of his normal range.
  • Shout-Out: Molly sticks her arms out in the bow of the boat and cries, "I'm queen of the ocean!"
Randall: Uh, your majesty? Please sit down in the boat while it's moving.

"Nature's Medicine": Molly's scout troupe halts their hike when Trini scrapes her knee.

"Nature's Medicine" contains the following tropes:

  • Deadpan Snarker: Molly's fitness app, NORA, does not take kindly to slackers.
  • Disturbed Doves: A couple of crows take off in fright when Trini suggests packing something other than pilot bread and everyone gasps at the notion.
  • Drill Sergeant Nasty: NORA keeps hounding the hikers to press on without rest.
  • Fun with Acronyms: NORA stands for No Rest At All. And boy, does she mean it!
  • Gasp!: The rest of the troupe is shocked that Trini would even suggest packing something other than quintessential Alaskan pilot bread.
  • Insubstantial Ingredients: Walter claims pilot bread lasts forever because the main ingredient is "eternity."
  • Victory Dance: Trini makes one up upon reaching the top of the mountain.
