Recap / Little Princess S 2 E 34 I Dont Like Thunderstorms

Go To

On a day that is mostly sunny except for one dark cloud, the Princess is playing superhero outside. She has cast Scruff as the one in need of rescue and the rabbits as the villains. The narrator says that the Princess must be brave as a superhero and she says that she's not afraid of anything, but amends it to "Except thunderstorms" when one starts.

The Maid brings the washing in, the Admiral freaks out over his toy boats sinking, the General uses a plastic bag to keep his hat dry, and Scruff cowers under the wheelbarrow, but the Gardener is not fazed at all and reassures the Princess (who lies that she's not afraid) and Scruff that the storm is nothing to fear.

They go inside and the Princess hides under her blanket, but when questioned by the Maid, lies again and says that it's Gilbert who's scared. The Maid tells the Princess about counting for storms, and tells her to count "one crocodile, two crocodiles". The Admiral, who's also scared, hides in the bathroom and becomes even more nervous when he mistakes the Princess's counting as counting literal crocodiles.

The Princess decides to hide in the King and Queen's room, but then the narrator brings up Scruff, and the Little Princess realises that he's still outside despite being more scared of storms than her. She nervously prepares to go out to retrieve him, but is just too scared to. Meanwhile, the Queen (who is eventually joined by the King and General) try to convince the Admiral to go out of the bathroom and that there aren't any crocodiles.

The Princess is feeling very down on herself for being too scared to "rescue" Scruff, but the narrator tries telling her that everyone gets scared, even real superheroes. The Princess, however, says that real superheroes probably would be able to get Scruff in despite their fear.

She then sees the adults outside the bathroom and finds out that the Admiral thinks there are crocodiles. She comes up with a plan to pretend that there really are crocodiles but they're shooing them away, and it works. Puss, meanwhile, uses a hang glider to collect Scruff himself.

The Princess, feeling brave about her "heroism", prepares to out with the Admiral to save Scruff but of course Puss has beaten them to it.
