"Lights Out!": The gang uses a Tesla Coil to power Fabuloso's broken reading-light hat.

"Lights Out!" contains the following tropes:

  • Animate Inanimate Object: Sentient lightbulbs are shown during the episode's song.
  • Ash Face: When we first meet Marko, he has ash on his face.
  • Brainy Pig: Marko is a porcine scientist who teaches the kids about Tesla coils.
  • Cool Board: Luna shows the kids an electric skateboard she got at an electronics store.
  • Exhausted Eye Bags: Señor Fabuloso is shown with bags under his eyes after not getting enough sleep.
  • HA HA HA—No: When Leo asks the electronic store clerk if they sell any Z batteries (extremely rare batteries required to power Fabuloso's reading-light hat), the clerk laughs hysterically and then slams the door in Leo's face.
  • Hamster-Wheel Power: A squirrel named Mr. Squeaks shows up to run inside a wheel connecting a wire to the reading-light hat. It doesn't work because he gets tired very quickly.
  • Harmless Electrocution: Leo's second plan is to rub balloons to produce electricity sparks. However, everyone ends up electrocuted. While they do get messed-up hair and soot on their faces, there are otherwise no long-term effects.
  • If My Calculations Are Correct: Leo's first solution is to plug Fabuloso's hat to a wire. When questioned, Leo says that if his calculations are correct, Fabuloso will be drifting off into peaceful slumber in no time.
  • Instant Bandages: After Señor Fabuloso's Offscreen Crash, he is instantly shown with casts on his body.
  • Literally Laughable Question: Leo asks the owner of a nearby electronics shop if they have the rare Z batteries Señor Fabuloso needs for his reading light. The shopowner starts laughing without actually answering the question, and he later closes up the shop, which Luna assumes is his way of saying that they don't have them.
  • Never Say "Die": Unlike previous episodes, this is played straight. Magic Globe says that Nikola Tesla is "no longer with us".
  • Offscreen Crash: Leo's third plan is to use a bicycle connected to a cable to produce electricity, However, the bicycle gets out of control and drags Fabuloso with it. Fabuloso crashes off-screen.
  • Talking to Themself: Señor Fabuloso starts the episode by talking to his reflection about how his bedtime routine keeps him well-rested.

"The Wrong Clothes": A perfect storm of misunderstanding and mistaken identity lead to Andy being accidentally recruited into a folk dance troupe.

"The Wrong Clothes" contains the following tropes:

  • Gone Swimming, Clothes Stolen: The episode starts out with the kids playing on the beach. When they go to get changed, a dog steals Andy's clothes, kicking off the conflict of the episode.
  • I Just Want to Have Friends: Andy makes it a point to make new friends wherever he goes. But in Croatia, he is struggling to make friends, and thinks he has lost his touch.
  • Mistaken Identity: The leader of the dance troupe calls for the dancers to come get their clothes. Andy sees this and thinks that he's just giving out free clothes. However, when Andy puts on the clothes, he is mistaken for a member of the folk dance troupe.
  • Odd Name Out: The members of the dance troupe are Marco, Baldo, Blago, Dinko, Jozoz, Kreso, Kruno, Slavo, Ana, Lana, Marta, Nika, Jaka, Zlatka, Stella, Urma, Vesna...and Tim.
  • Prehensile Hair: Vlado's mustache seems to have a mind of its own. It is sometimes shown in the shape of a hand.
  • The Triple:
Luna: I'll go check over near the water.
Carmen: I'll ask some seabirds if they've seen any clothes.
Leo: I'll roll aimlessly in the sand!
  • What Happened to the Mouse?: Andy never did get his regular clothes back.
