You've been Luigi'd.

Upload Date: January 9, 2011

Luigi, feeling particularly mischievous, decides to play some pranks on some people, leaving the house with strings, rope, a piece of chicken, a "stomp on me" sign, and a picture of a female Boo...what you use for pranks, apparently. Unfortunately, he chose the absolute worst targets—Bowser, Wario, a Goomba, and a Boo. Naturally, they all want revenge, and band together to lock Luigi in Bowser's dungeon. Luigi escapes, with the help of a concerned Mario, and they barely manage to make it home. In the process, Luigi accidentally drops a piece of chicken—and Wario gets his hands on it, right when Mario was hungry for a treat.

Tropes applying to Luigi the Prankster:

  • Distressed Dude: Luigi, though he manages to escape pretty quickly.
  • Early-Installment Weirdness: Not quite as much as Bowser's Mushroom Factory, but the older style is still rather noticeable compared to the later uploads.
  • Evil Takes a Nap: Luigi has to sneak past three sleeping Bowsers to escape.
  • Hilarious Outtakes: At the end of the video.
  • Idiot Ball: Why Luigi thought it would be a good idea to prank Bowser of all people is something only Goomzilla knows.
  • It Amused Me: We don't know why Luigi suddenly feels like pranking people. He just does.
  • Jerkass Ball: Quite a bit of Luigi's pranks come across as more mean-spirited than intended. Bowser tripped on the wire Luigi laid out right after recovering from the loss of his Mushroom Factory, he kept pulling the chicken away from a starving Wario, and he put a "stomp on me" sign on a Goomba, something that's usually fatal to Goombas as a whole.
  • Laser-Guided Karma: Zigzagged. Luigi gets locked up in Bowser's dungeon as retribution for his pranks, but he manages to escape—leaving behind the piece of chicken Mario was hungry for.
  • Second Episode Introduction: This is Goomzilla's second video, and the introduction of Wario.
  • Soundtrack Dissonance: Using Battle for the Grand Star for Mario's Big Damn Heroes moment sounds a bit out of place.
  • This Is Gonna Suck: During one of Luigi's pranks, Mario quietly watches and can only sigh, knowing what he's doing and that it won't end well.
  • Throw the Dog a Bone:
    • An almost literal example. After being denied any sweets from the princess, tortured by Luigi tempting him with chicken on a string and yanking it away from him, and getting himself injured trying to get it on his motorcycle, Wario finally gets his chicken for real, no strings attached.
    • Princess Peach doesn't get kidnapped in this episode.
