This is a very different kind of Goomzilla video. It shows what Mario goes through (i.e. saving the princess from Bowser) every day, done in the style of the Super Mario Bros. theme. By the end, Mario decides he's had enough, and builds a wall in front of Peach's castle to protect her from Bowser.

Tropes applying to A Day in the Life of Mario:
- Damsel in Distress: Peach, as usual.
- Hero with an F in Good: Wario.
- Hilarious Outtakes: A belated example, as the episode wouldn't get outtakes until eight and a half years later.
- Musical Episode: Throughout almost the whole epiosde, all of the character's voice clips from the games were played in rhythm of the original Super Mario Bros. theme. Goomzilla himself gets in on the fun by singing his name at the end of the episode.
- Shout-Out: Goomzilla sings his name to the tune of Goldfinger.
- Suddenly Speaking: Goomzilla finally reveals his voice in this episode, albeit briefly.
- Visual Pun: Everybody sings the Super Mario Bros. theme while Goomzilla shows what they go through every day. The constant need to rescue Peach from Bowser's clutches was literally a song and dance routine!
- We Are Not Going Through That Again: Tired of having to rescue the princess from Bowser again and again, Mario builds a giant wall in front of her castle to prevent Bowser from kidnapping her again.
