An Arm and a Leg: Scar comes up with the idea to attack the Mannequin Soldiers' legs (either by amputating them or immobilizing them) to at least incapacitate them, with Ed, Darius, Zampano, and Jerso immediately following suit.
Big Damn Heroes: Mustang and Hawkeye arrive just in time to save Ed's group from the Mannequin Soldiers.
Car Fu: Yoki of all people manages to rescue everyone from Pride by ramming a jeep into him and sending him flying, leading him to boast about finally doing something useful.
Faster Than They Look: Sloth is revealed to be the fastest of the homunculi despite his size, almost killing the Armstrong siblings by rushing at them so quickly they can only see the blur. On the other hand, he's also too fast to control his movements, leading him to crash into walls clumsily.
Man Bites Man: A healed Heinkel manages to fatally wound Kimblee by biting his neck and crushing his windpipe.
Neck Snap: Mei manages to kick one Mannequin Soldier in the head hard enough to break its neck. But to her horror, it just simply snaps its neck back into place.
No-Sell: Darius' chimera form is so tough that a Mannequin Soldier can't bite through his skin.
Oh, Crap!: Pride and Kimblee go through this when they realize too late that Alphonse had been creating dust clouds to block Pride's sense of smell long enough for Al's allies to launch a sneak attack, with Kimblee getting his neck bitten by Heinkel soon after.
Sadistic Choice: The Central Soldiers, after seeing both Sloth and the Mannequin Soldiers, have to choose between following their orders to kill Olivier Armstrong (thus leaving them at the mercy of the Mannequin Soldiers) or defy orders and work with her and Alex to survive the onslaught of the new enemy.
You Have Outlived Your Usefulness: Now that Kimblee's been fatally wounded, Pride decides to eat him alive, deeming that his soul and his Philosopher's Stone will be more useful to him this way.
Zerg Rush: While Ed's group are able to last for a good amount of time against the Mannequin Soldiers, it soon becomes clear that they're going to be overwhelmed by the sheer numbers soon. It's only thanks to the timely arrival of Mustang and Hawkeye that they're saved.
