Donkey Kong and Diddy spot a UFO in the sky one night. The next morning, all of their friends are acting weird. The only logical conclusion is that aliens have invaded and put the other Kongs under mind-control, but what about King K.Rool's latest weapon to steal the Crystal Coconut?

- Ancient Astronauts: DK and Diddy wonders who built the temple of Inka Dinka Doo. Funky tells them he believe it was aliens, which led them to paranoia. Later, Funky confessed he was just kidding, he got the idea from a movie.
- Birthday Episode: Diddy's birthday is featured in this episode, and the Kongs were just trying to keep the party they were preparing a secret.
- Cannot Keep a Secret: DK, in this episode. "Tell DK, and it'll be all over the island before you can say, 'Spill the beans!'"
- Dare to Be Badass: Done in song form by King K.Rool in the Title Drop song, "Watch the Skies"
- Not Using the "Z" Word: Aliens are referred to almost solely as "interplanetary visitor dudes."
- Scary Surprise Party: DK and Diddy thought everyone is being controlled by aliens. DK finds out they're throwing a surprise party for Diddy. DK tried to tell Diddy it was all a misunderstanding without spoiling the surprise, but Diddy thinks DK is also possessed. At the end of the episode, Diddy fainted upon everyone telling "SURPRISE!"
- "Scooby-Doo" Hoax: An unintentional example. K. Rool's Boomerang Barrel of Peril is mistaken for an alien ship. K.Rool uses this to his advantage to trick Diddy into bringing him the Crystal Coconut.
- Something Only They Would Say: DK is quick to realize the others aren't brainwashed when Cranky insults him like he normally does.
- Spanner in the Works: DK derails K.Rool's "Scooby-Doo" Hoax quite literally.
- Vomit Discretion Shot: Krusha, being the pilot of the spinning Boomerang Barrel of Peril is shown dizzy the first time he exits it. So when it crashes near the end of the episode and he emerges from the wreckage, he dips off screen and can be heard throwing up.
