Food Brings Smiles♡ Transform! Cure Precious! is the first episode of Delicious Party♡Pretty Cure, as well as the 874th episode of the Pretty Cure franchise overall.
A girl named Yui Nagomi meets a fairy named Kome-Kome and a man named Rosemary, who come from the CooKingdom. Together, they help Yui become a Pretty Cure for the first time.
Tropes:
- Baby Carriage: While Kome-Kome is looking at food, a woman mistakes her for a peach and then throws her into her baby's pram, which starts rolling away. Luckily, Yui stops the pram just before it can crash into Ran on her bike.
- Blush Sticker: Yui gets one when eating rice balls.
- Establishing Character Moment: Rosemary's reaction to being given a meal by the Nagomis is to first gush about how wonderful it is, then burst into tears because he doesn't have any money to repay them. He opts to wash dishes as payment.
- Food Porn: The first few moments of the episode are full of shots of delicious food.
- Growling Gut: Apparently, Rosemary should have eaten something before leaving the CooKingdom, as his stomach is very loud by the time he makes to Oishiina Town.
- One-Steve Limit: Zigzagged; Yui Nagomi is the third Yui in the franchise, and Kokone's surname is Fuwa, but Kokone, Ran, and Takumi are one letter off from Korone, Rin, and Takuma.
- Pink Heroine: As is tradition, Yui's Cure form, Cure Precious, is decked out in pink.
- Ridiculously Cute Critter: Rosemary is given a duffel bag carrying three adorable fairies, these being Kome-Kome, Pam-Pam, and Mem-Mem.
