Hacker infects Motherboard with a new virus — one that causes her to make cyber-citizens act mean. Digit and the kids go in search of an antidote: 2/5 of the Electro-Root, 2/8 of the Healing Stone, and 1/3 of a box of Hacker’s wig gel — a strange antidote indeed! Will the young cyber-heroes be able to gather the ingredients and figure out how to properly mix these odd fractions? And will said amounts really be good enough?

Tropes in this episode:

  • Crazy-Prepared: Because they all thought ahead and kept the leftover ingredients, the CyberSquad was able to double the recipe for the antidote needed to save Motherboard.
  • Delayed Reaction: It turns out that Buzz and Delete did see the girls hiding near the kitchen, they just didn’t realize it until they were talking to Hacker about it later.
  • Don't Wake the Sleeper: Jackie and Inez have to sneak past a group of sleeping gorillas in order to get the Electro-Root.
  • Failed a Spot Check: Buzz and Delete are so oblivious, they completely fail to notice that Jackie and Inez have snuck into the Grim Wreaker, even though they were standing in plain sight on the other side of the hallway the Bumbling Henchmen Duo were walking down.
  • Green and Mean: Motherboard’s virus turns the residents of Cyberspace into this.
  • Hate Plague: The Spell of the Mean Green. It enchants Motherboard to spread a Hate Plague one corrupted cybersite at a time, turning their citizens hostile to each other.
  • Hidden in Plain Sight: Jackie and Inez hide from Buzz and Delete coming down the hallway, who they think is Hacker, by just standing still with their hands over their eyes. Unbelievably, it works.
Inez: I can’t believe that actually worked!
  • Huggy, Huggy Hippos: Harriet Hippo - well, before she gets hit with the Mean Green virus that is.
  • Power Echoes: Buzz’s voice turns into a booming echo when he mimics Hacker calling himself the “Overlord...of...Cyber...Space!”. In fact, the impersonation is so good that it convinces Jackie and Inez that Hacker is coming towards them.
  • Race Against the Clock: The CyberSquad has to make and give the antidote to Motherboard before the last cybersite turns evil, or else Hacker will be able to take control of Cyberspace.
  • Rhymes on a Dime: Harriet Hippo, and Hacker, after Wicked turns him nice with a spell.
Hacker: I’ll help you, you know it’s true. I’ll help you, I always do!
  • Sequel Episode: To Hugs and Witches from a few episodes ago. Hacker and Wicked team up and it's a race against time to set everything right, and Wicked uses a spell on Hacker after the plan failed.
  • Shout-Out: Hacker gifts Wicked with a “Bimbus 3000” broom, which is similar to the Nimbus 2000 broom from Harry Potter.
  • Unwanted Gift Plot: The B plot. Wicked gets angry when all Hacker gives her for helping him is a broomstick. He then spends the rest of his time throughout the episode trying to think of a new gift for her.
  • Watch Where You're Going!: While sneaking through the Grim Wreaker, Digit & Matt and Jackie & Inez all bump into each other when they round a corner at the same time.
