The Saint Of Last Resorts
A young mother has recently given birth in a convent. While she and her husband coo over the new baby, a nun named Anne-Marie comes to deliver gummy bears (and also coo over the new baby). The mother, unfortunately, gets a swift and painful death - which leads Anne-Marie to contact one John Constantine for help over it. She'd contact another Occult Detective... but another one wouldn't owe her, so it's John who ends up with the case.Tropes present in this episode include:
- Abusive Parents: John's comes up - and it turns out that Zed's father kept her in a locked room her whole life, until she ran away.
- The Atoner: Why Anne-Marie became a nun; she was at Newcastle and considers John her failure..
- Berserk Button: Zed does not like to be called Mary.
- Big "NO!": Zed lets out one as she's forcibly sedated by the doctor.
- Bilingual Bonus: Some of the Spanish is subtitled.
- Bitch in Sheep's Clothing: The cute art model, Eddie, who asked Zed out? He's working for her father.
- The sweet nun who flirts lightly with John turns out to be Lamashtu, who's not sweet at all.
- Body Horror: The fruit, which is made of human flesh and bleeds.
- Cliffhanger: The episode ends with John, shot by Anne-Marie and helpless against the advancing Invunche.
- Disney Villain Death: The woman who arrives with the doctor, whom Zed tricks into falling out of a door that leads to nothing.
- Eats Babies: Lamashtu - but this time, she's kidnapping babies instead.
- The Fair Folk: Mentioned, but they're not the culprits.

- My Greatest Failure: Anne-Marie considers John hers, since she's the one who introduced him to the occult.

- N-Word Privileges: Averted once again; John drops the G-word and nobody thinks anything of it.

- Shoot the Hostage: The doctor shoots the Honey Trap Zed's holding as hostage. Crosses over with You Have Outlived Your Usefulness.
- Tsundere: Anne-Marie is quite cold to John, but sweet to her charges.
- Your Cheating Heart: John went out looking for girls right after sleeping with Anne-Marie. It's why they've broken up.
